Quite the experience

Had a wonderful meal here with colleagues, but this restaurant is more than that. It's about the story of Frida and it is expressed in everything that you see. From the colour the walls are painted to the stories in the menu. A must go if you are in SLP. Not the cheapest meal though, but still... read more

This place has nice art around Frida Kahlo photos and sculptures decorating the restaurant. They have a top roof area that opens some days wich i love! its decorated with giant Alebrijes hanging. My favorite dishes are the chiles ventila, the filete zorro, and the sopa azteca. The cuitlacoche crepas are also great. For dessert don't miss the Crepas de... More

Visited with friends, so the company was pleasant... Food was good if not outstanding. Service was pleasant enough. I know, I know, damning with slight praise and all that. It's just,San Luis Potosi has a ways to go when it comes to cuisine. This IS one of your better options in this city. Just keep your expectations low and you... More

There a pretty good range of delicious dishes among the menu of this place. Amazing decoration and exquisite Mexican food. You must try more than one to test the experience of good authentic food.

Of all the restaurants that we tried during our five day visit to San Luis Potosí, El México de Frida stands well above the rest. Most restaurants we visited were good, but none compares to this one. The menu is presented in a multipage booklet with good art, each dish and drink is briefly explained. We tried several small plates,... More

This place gets you tripping in amazement. It's décor is circa bohemian 1900's, all Mexican folklore art, paintings, drawings etc. The food and service are very good. I had "enchiladas potosinas", very different than your regular enchiladas and they are excellent, my friends all ordered different dishes, so we got to taste a bit of all. We also enjoyed Mexican... As I had heard if this place many times in my travels to SLP I finally had the chance to actually visit and was not dissatisfied Te food is really good. We'll prepared and a thoughtful approach to stuffed chicken breasts. Most definitely their specialty The atmosphere is very nice and interesting. Not a fancy place but not tacky. This... More

This restaurant is located near the city center on a quiet, dark street in a large, renovated, 3-story house, with the covered, open-air bar on the top floor. Parking is in a small lot besides the restaurant with an attendant or on the street. Prices are expensive for Mexico, about the same as you would pay in a 3 star... More

It is a nice restaurant with good food. We ordered Chiles Ventilla, potato skins, tapas and beef and it was all good. Because it was early November they had an altar with cat rings for decoration
