3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2014 NEW

For this year’s trip we decided to venture out and look for those “diamonds in the rough” eateries and avoid the usual “four-five star” rated restaurants. El Tiburon de la Costa was recommended by the beach lifeguard at our hotel for its fresh and excellent seafood. El Tiburon is located inside the Ixtapa Palace complex which includes a hotel and... We visited the famous "Tiburón de la Costa", a restaurant very appreciated between the locals because of its fresh seafood, good prices and service. We visited its 2nd store located in the hotel Ixtapa Palace, the restaurant itself it´s ok nothing fancy, but its clean and looks new. The service is very good, always trying to solve your questions and... More

When planning our annual vacation in Ixtapa I was excited to hear that El Tiburon de la Costa had opened a second restaurant in town. We were willing to take a cab out to San Jose to eat at their original restaurant but glad now that there is one right in Ixtapa. My wife had the Camerones in butter and... More

I dragged our group of 9 to this restaurant based on reviews, and we were very happy with the food and prices, but had issues with the dining experience. First, the food was very good, but we did need to send our tuna steaks back for additional cooking as they came out too rare inspite of our instructions. When they... More

The new location in the Ixtapa Palace hotel has been there about 3 months, and it appears to already have a loyal following. We ate there 4 times during our visit, and were never disappointed. The camarones rellenos are particulary exceptional, good sized shrimp wrapped in bacon and then grilled crisp, with a tangy cheese sauce. Each time we visited,... More

El Tiburon has a restaurant inside the Ixtapa Palace in the heart of Ixtapa. We met the very well spoken owner and the food was great and so were the prices.

Like the other reviews, very clean, good service, great food, very reasonable. My wife had lobster and I had mahi Veracruz. Both plates came with a salad of fresh lettuce, avocado slices, cucumber and sliced tomato, buttery mashed potatoes and rice. I'm guessing I had a little under a half pound of fish and the Veracruz sauce had really good... More
