As far as I am concerned there is only one culinary reason to visit Ixtapa and that is Bistro Soleiado. The last time I was there I had the owner’s grandma’s recipe for Moroccan Chicken Tagine. It was melt in your mouth delicious and at 180 pesos, what a bargain! Tonight my husband had two pacific lobsters, we shared a... More

6 of us celebrating final night of 12 night vacation. We spent hours researching and decided on coming here for dinner. Two of the group ordered a Long Island iced tea and it took at least 20 minutes to arrive. One couple ordered the calamari to share however there wasn't enough to share and was not good. Not a good... More

We dined at Soleiado twice during our 10 day stay in Ixtapa. The food is very good and we had excellent service both times. The first time, I had a Caesar salad and the snapper (huachinango) with a caper and lemon sauce it was delicious. My husband had the mahi mahi and didn't like it, saying it tasted charred. The... Very nice wait staff, watched NFL on TV, food was ok for a bistro not top notch though. Price was ok. Open to the outside, so take into account weather.

335 pesos for eggs benedict, french omlette, 2 small juice, coffee and tea! These guys should be wearing a mask! They charged 35 pesos for 2 pieces of toast... banditos still roam freely in Ixtapa. Sorry Soleiado but this was our third disappointment at your restaurant... like baseball, 3 strikes and your out. Prior visits were unremarkable with so-so food,... More

What a surprise here in ixtapa. Before we came here our best food was at a sports bar. We were met by the owner & chef who told us what fresh fish and lobster he had and invited us in. There was an Italian singer - the entire restaurant broke out into song at "Volare". We started out with calamari... More

Fresh sea food, meat and pultry, excelent ingredients, nicely presented, very well prepared with polite and prompt service, variety and class. We spent three weeks this winter and enjoy this restaurant several times, we were very sátisfied.

Had numerous fantastic meals at Soleiado, both lunches and dinners, and every time the host greeted us upon our arrival and him and his staff were extremely attentive while we were dining. Food is excellent and the menu is very extensive, we will go back in a heart beat, we can highly recommend this restaurant.

I guess from seeing all the positive reviews, I was expecting more. Service was not great (slow and not very friendly) nor did I get the feeling of my time there being warm and inviting. Food was good, prices were a little higher than expected given all of the affordable options in Ixtapa. The new manager was present and appeared... More
