We found loved the enchilada verde and the on site pastry. Great location on the main drag of Zicatela Beach where the locals and the tourists eat. Great value at 630 pesos.

Stopped in here for a quick brunch one day while shopping at Zicatela. It had a very large menu and everyone found something they liked. It was also recommended by a local on a different occasion when we had forgotten that we had already been there. Worth a trip.

The food here was great and had many menu options. The bakery is a great addition. A must while visiting.

I'm not sure what the attraction to Cafecito is? Perhaps it's akin to Canadians waiting in line at Tim Hortons. The bakery is average at best, and the breakfast is not very good. My scrambled eggs were extremely overcooked, and not one person at my table remarked that there food was better than average. On two occasions I bought entire... More

We wandered into El cafecito starving on our first morning in Puerto Escondido by chance and could barely finish our plates. Needless to say we returned many times for baked goods from the bakery and tried both their traditional mexican desayunos and the american breakfasts and were never let down. Very affordable and very filling. You should go!

This cafe has the best Mexican food in the area. The breakfast menu was my favorite, full with Oaxaca region dishes. This area has great coffee, chocolate and mezcal. Try the mole negro sauce over chicken or eggs.

Cafecito is always a good bet, good food and service 7 days a week. Two locations and a favorite with Mexicans and North Americans.

the juices are very good, and the place smells great - but unfortunately the food was very plain, and the service was terrible. but they were VERY busy so maybe the service was excusable?

Nice spot for a taste of home. Europe/US-style breakfasts. Not incredibly cheap but pretty good value for anyone with a budget above rock-bottom backpacker.
