We had a lovely evening meal here with our family. With a selection of food from the belly of pork (seriously high end cooking which I'd have been happy with in a lot posher places), proper ham eggs and chips, to the children's sausages, everyone was happy. The waiter was new and enthusiastic and we thought it was a friendly... More

Ate here for my mothers birthday and had an enjoyable meal. The smoked haddock fish cake was tasty and filling, the date and ginger cake was yummy. My brother though ordered profiteroles which turned out to be choux buns cut open with a ball of ice cream placed in between them!?! Little disappointing as the description on the menu suggested... We booked on the day, so were seated by the front door. First courses - I had mussels, a decent portion and very good indeed - but my friend's first course was a joke. She had chosen the British asparagus and broad bean salad - when it arrived there was a huge mass of dry rocket leaves (possibly fresh from... More

My family of 4 had a great evening meal at the Plough. (A fairly direct 10 min drive from Looe). The menu had a good selection of starters and mains. My kids enjoyed the pigs in blankets starter whilst I particularly enjoyed the bang bang chicken salad. Mains were a good size and well cooked and presented. No microwave junk... More

The Plough was recommended to us whilst we were having a holiday at the Deerpark Forest just up the road. We went for an evening meal, booking a table a couple of days before. Glad we did, it was quite busy when we got there. Place itself was warm and welcoming, the staff polite and helpful. In fact, they let... More

Went for lunch and was not disappointed, the food was just as good as recommended by my friends and the service was first class, lots of attention from a very helpful waiter who could not do enough to make sure we had everything we needed, generous portions satisfied us all and the desert menu was even better, nothing was to... This was one of the places recommended on our 'places to eat guide' by the site we were staying at. The quality of the food and service was of a high standard, my partner and I both enjoyed our meals! Particularly the lemon tart with cornish clotted cream!

6 of us Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday & early Mother's Day . Food was very tasty when it eventually arrived but waited an hour after having to re-select as they had run out of beef and lamb, we all ended up having pork. BUT they completely forgot our starters we had ordered & we didn't... More

We were staying for a week at Duloe Manor, an HPB site, and the Plough is a very convenient half mile walk away. The quality of food at this restaurant is very good as is the service and atmosphere. You will need to book in the tourist season. The menu is not large but most tastes would be catered for.... More
