Traveling down to Cornwall, we arrived, near by were told to try the Plough. Simply, very good and going places, with a solid and brave menu and a great chef. My wife had a pie, children off the kids menu, and I had a brilliant Pheasant (later discovering, on a quick passing by, that a gentlemen had brought it in,... More

We dined here twice. during a visit to Duloe Manor both in the evening. Friday was about half full (though a group of 'mature' guys who were members of a dining club filled the place out later), We shared some beer and treacle bread to start. The Tamblyn's sausages with champ were very tasty and the venison casserole special was... More

Having been here many years ago it's great that this pub is once again a fantastic place to go. We went for Sunday lunch, was so good went back the next day again for lunch. There is a varied menu cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Having broken down on the way to Cornwall for our New Year break, we finally arrived at The Plough on New Year's Eve very late in the evening. Despite the kitchen being closed, our hosts (Richard & Louisa) gave us an extremely warm welcome, settling us down with a glass of bubbly, and then reopened the kitchen just for us,... More

Thank you very much for writing a review for us we really appreciate your effort, time and kind words. I would suggest homemade bread, homemade stocks and sauces, day boat fish, pheasant and venison as well our great homemade burgers and fish pies and our Cornish beer battered fish and triple cooked hand cut chips is not a typical pub...
