Hadn't booked (didn't know the form) so when the girl behind the bar said she would be with us as soon as she could, this really wasn't a problem. The trouble was, she then left us hanging until eventually someone else asked if we were being looked after. Not really. To be fair, we were then found... read more

This pub was recommended to us last year and was so good we went back three times on our holiday this year. Excellent food and dog friendly. The service was welcoming and personal. There is even a jar of dog treats for your furry friends, which our Bernese mountain dog was very appreciative of! We will be visiting next time... More

Lovely pub with very nice food. Spent a couple of good evenings here but you need to book as this is more of a place to eat than to pop into for a drink. Service excellent, well priced and tasty food. Staff very friendly and soon picked up on our likes and dislikes in realation to food and drink :-)

A Friday evening - a full pub, great atmosphere, attentive service, great table layout & sublime food (best steak I have enjoyed since forever - accompanying sauce and potato matched perfectly) My partner being a 'Fish Always' person opted for the Sea Bass - again, beautifully presented, perfectly baked. We were reluctant to leave such was the ambience! Have since... More

I visited this pub for the second time for dinner with my fiance, father and his partner and was again blown away by the quality of the food and the service. The price is the same as standard pub food but you get high quality, locally sourced, well thought out meals delightfully presented. You could easily pay a lot more... More

if you're anywhere near Duloe you should try The Plough if you like places with good atmosphere, great service, and out-of-this-world food. Definitely book ahead because it gets busy (a sure sign that this is a gem of a restaurant). On arrival we were met and served by Louisa - a more charming and hardworking waitress you could not wish... More

Visited on 12 May and the restaurant had changed hands since our last visit some two years ago. The menu looked eerily familiar considering we had been told that it had changed hands. It turns out that the website still has the old menu and bears no resemblance to the actual menu on offer. It had issues then, but the... More

We were recommended The Plough by the lady at the Polrean Country House Hotel on our first night in Looe. We did book quite late in the day so couldn't get a booking until about 8.30pm. When we got there the restaurant was packed, really busy. We were seated pretty much straight away. After that the service was sporadic, a... More
