Visited with my wife, 3yr old and dog. Very warm and cosy pub perfect for a winter visit. We enjoyed our roast dinner and I certainly enjoyed the beer! Nice staff who made us feel welcome.

Visiting Cornwall and staying down the road at Treworgey Cottages, we explored the area and found the Plough. Undoubtedly, our finest pub dining experience. Two for a late lunch. Local cider from cornish Orchards just down the road. A delicious curry and fish and chips. Wish we could have stayed later for the entertainment. Great atmosphere. Treat yourself!

In Looe or surrounding area? Shocked by the prices of Looe? You really must give the Plough a visit. Staff super attentive, food really really good. We visited on our last night, our only regret, we didn't visit before. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed. The local taxi companies are super good too.

Lovely food and friendly service but do book as not many tables inside. Service a little slow but as we were on holiday we were in no rush

The food was very good. Interesting home made touches, for example chutneys and marmalades. Not too sure about the pickled grapes and celery with the cheese but thats just me. Good value for money. Staff were very attentive and polite. Thoroughly recommend it.

Have been staying in Looe for the last week on holiday. We found mention of The Plough in the cottage so decided to take a punt. We arrived quite late so some of the choices were not available to our group but Manager Saul showed his professionalism and sorted everything out. I personally ordered scotch egg for starter and liver... More

We visited the plough whilst on holiday in the area, luckily I had the foresight to book as whilst we were there, a number of people looking for tables had to be turned away as the restaurant was fully booked. We ordered some drinks whilst perusing the menu. We ordered white crab salad, prawn and crevette cocktail, duck scotch egg... More

Visited for an evening meal on an August Sunday. The pub was busy but not overcrowded. The menu choice was good and the service very good, the bar staff were very friendly. The main of mussels and fries was very nice, however the starter of beet and feta salad had very little, if any, feta and it seemed to be... More

Very very good meal. Managed to fit us in (despite rumours of being full). Very good staff (even the younger ones). I had the crab salad to start and my wife had the local river mussels in cider cream sauce -best she'd had in a long time. We had fish and chips and stuffed chicken for mains - both excellent.... Good food and friendly service in pleasant surroundings. Busy so booking is advisable. Recommend the fish which is locally caught and fresh.
