DELICIOUS FOOD WORTH WAITING FOR

Although the Plough looks fairly ordinary from the outside, it has an attractive and welcoming pub atmosphere. The menu changes every day, we were told, and it had a good range of choices plus some specials on a board. My companions both had dressed Looe crab which was beautifully presented and... read more

We were staying nearby and had seen a number of comments at our accommodation from people who had visited, which were all very good. Surprisingly large inside, it soon started to fill up after we arrived at the opening time of 1800. The proprietors were on hand, one serving and one cooking. The beer was very well kept and the... As we found Polperro very busy for Sunday lunch, a few months ago a friend of mine had recommended The Plough at Duloe so we decided to venture a few miles in land and take a chance of getting a table for four as we had not made a reservation. The Plough looks lovely from outside with ample parking to... More

The service from start to finish was very friendly and relaxed. The food was excellent, we had crab, prawns and whitebait to start with, followed by, beer battered fish, fish pie, steak and a burger. So we had a good range of food and all was good, the fish pie getting a 10/10 from my daughter! We had two desserts,... More

I think theres a general trend in these posts regarding the superb food and an undermanned kitchen/front of house team. We went early as had to youngish children. In a matter of minutes the place was full such is the reputation of this quaint foodie pub nestled in the Cornish countryside. The pub like must in cornwall accepts well behaved... More

Last went several years ago and was very disappointed from the previous years, so didn't bother going again for a while. However, recently had dinner with friends and family there and was pleased with the improvements. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was good and tasty. We'll be back next year!

We had an eventful arrival at the Plough, as an 80 year old diner collapsed with what looked like a stroke as we walked through the door; so we had to administer first aid until an ambulance arrived. Good choice of menu, shame that many of the specials had gone when we ordered at 8.30 pm, but I suppose that... More
