Super spot right by the beach. Good view of the surfing. Easy cafe style and menu. Food and drinks good. Very Nice spot to pass the time in

Our trip to Porthtowan for a wedding at the EcoCentre was brill (Sept 2014). The wedding, weather, sea, sand, views and local amenities were all fantastic. The Blue bar was lively place attracting a mixture of "surfer dudes", young and not so young too! Early evening very busy and kitchen had some trouble keeping up with food orders. The wedding... Sitting on the terrace, watching the sun set over the sea beyond Porthtowan harbour was a wonderful way to spend an evening. The bar was busy but our food came quickly. The lack of a choice of ales was a bit disappointing though. Nice that the pub is so dog-friendly.

As all have stated, beautiful views, especially in the evening. Although there is not a massive choice on the menu, it is delicious and large portions. The hummus and falafel is gorgeous. Pretty basic inside but as full of sand, wet feet and dogs, can't be anything else. It is so relaxing and chilled out sitting there with a glass... More

i visited this place a few times in the summer has an amazing view but that's just about all they have got going for them, most the bar staff seem more interested talking among themselves, never actually doing much work, they never seem to try and converse with customers and there always seems to be a bit of a negative... Tasty food for lunch - meant to be starter portions but plenty for us, especially as followed by sticky toffee pudding - and a great view!

this is a beautiful location. Very laid back atmosphere - straight from the beach after surfing for a bite to eat. Local produce well presented and tasty. The only issue for us was that service wasn't great - had to wait 40 mins between starters and main course, wont stop us going again though as the whole experience is just... More

This bar is in a great location, with great views of the sea. It does get very busy in peak season, but has a really good vibe to it. The food is good quality and portion sizes are reasonable. Dogs welcome as well.

Menu tweaked each year with specials on board changed more frequently. Food alway good and plenty of it. Views are some of best in Cornwall if not all England! Staff friendly and professional, so please just admire view and relax. I live nearby and have never had a bad meal here or fail to appreciate the views.

Some people don't get it / that Blue have a basic menu on all day however offer Specials after 6pm. This isn't a pub it's a brasserie and we've been going for years now! People in negative reviews have mentioned it as expensive... I'm sorry but we don't think it is.. £10ish per main course is fine.. Fish & Chips... More
