Visited with my boyfriend and his family. Ordered two beef burgers, one veggie and the risotto. Veggie burger was really tasty, the sauce made it that little bit different from other boring bean burgers. Fairly fast service even though it was pretty busy for a rainy weekday evening. Would go again!

We had identified Porthtowan as the perfect place to stop for lunch during our coastal path leg between Perranporth and Porthreath. We were aiming for the pub but we saw Blue were serving local ales so decided to stop here instead. The place was buzzing with lunch diners which is often a good sign. Grabbing the last table outside, we... More

Blue bar has been a favourite for many years with its great beer and views. The food used to be great too, with a daily changing specials menu and the awesome blue burger. Now it's become distinctly average, with cutbacks to the burgers ("they were taking too long" according to one barman), scrapping the pizza and pretty bland, overly oily... More

This is a really cool place. There is a real mixture of people here, there is a great atmosphere, very chilled out, lovely views, nice friendly staff and I loved the dirty chips! :0)

We came to a family wedding here. A great location and a great venue for an intimate and informal beach wedding. Couldn't fault our wedding guest experience.

This has got to be one of the best spots ever, lovely views and great atmosphere, the food was more than adequate for a beach bar and good sized portions. A perfect place to spend a lovely summer evening.

Had heard really good reports about the blue bar so when we decided to go it was with high expectations. In general terms we had a lovely meal, boys had fish and chips (adult portion completely devoured by a nine year old - i guess thats what surfing does!) and one had the kids pizza. The kids pizza looked and... More

We were married at the Blue Bar in early June. Everything was perfect - staff, service the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was wonderful. Thank you so much for making our day so special!

I visited the Blue Bar in November last year, and had a breakfast sandwich which was very tasty, so was looking forward to dinner there whist staying in Porthtowan this week. Unfortunately, when they are busy, the service and food deteriorates. We were warned that there would be a bit of a wait when we ordered, which was OK as... More

Great setting looking out over Porthtowan beach. Friendly helpful staff. Their 'Dirty Chips' (pulled pork, bbq sauce, jalapeños, cheese and chunky chips) are amazing. We look forward to visiting again soon.
