Trendy, lively bar

Great bar for family drinks (including dogs) and weekend live entertainment! The food was decent and the 1 hour wait was to be expected. Staff very friendly and fantasic place to view the sunsets.

This bar is literally right on the beach it is very popular with locals, surfers and tourists. We had breakfast there and the choice and food were fab!!!! Evenings are lively and it gets very crowded mainly because of its situation. There is a surf shop next door so you can have a surf and then your lunch.

Not possible to get a better spot to spend a day when it isn't quite beach weather than in one of the Blue Bars alcoves, eating great food, people and wave watching. Perfect spot :)

Situated just off the beach front, Blue bar offers decent food at reasonable prices with good veggie options and very welcoming friendly staff. The window booths are excellent for watching the waves, although you have to be lucky to grab one! The wait for the food can be a little long, but worth it and give you plenty of time... More

This is our second holiday in porthtowan so we had several visits. The staff are friendly. Shame we missed out on the mussels as they sold out and didn't reappear on the menu but the squid was good. As were the dirty chips. Good beers. Beautiful location. It does get very busy so best to arrive earlier rather than later.

Food here is really good. there is quite a choice on the menu and also some dishes that are healthy, such as tasty super salads which are hard to find in eating venues in Cornwall. The price of food is very reasonable , especially for what you get, size-wise and food standards. The venue is absoultely stunning. Espeically on a... More

This cafe/bar is right on the beach with a laid-back 'surfy' vibe - come in your sandy shorts & flip-flops and no-one bats an eyelid (better take off your wetsuit though ..!) The standard of the food and drink was rather better than anticipated; the children's pizza and the beer-battered fish were good, my hake with bacon and new potatoes... More

We have visited this place on many occasions and just love the chilled out ambiance of the place... Beer nice and cold, food is fine for a beach bar... The dirty chips are a fantastic idea! We did have a small issue which was sorted out very satisfactory so thank you. Would recommend this place to people who would appreciate... More

Visited here over a long weekend for our friends wedding. Great real ales, atmosphere and lovely food. Proper looked after us. Highly recommend the Dirty Chips. They served our whole party Fresh Fish N Chips and it was superb. Chilled out atmosphere. Loved it

disappointing, overpriced and staff wise although plenty there the service is atrocious, evening meal starts from 6 and by 1830 three choices were sold out. This left one choice of veggie food which was overpriced, plain and dry. amazing views in a stunning part of the world but seriously guys sort the service out!!
