We have frequented the Blue Bar quite a few times and the food has always been outstanding, although a little overpriced. I guess the price of the menu is inflated due to the wonderful views of Porthtowan beach from the bar. On arrival, we managed to obtain one of the bay seats. If you are going there, these are the... This bar gives Porthtowan the whole package and has the best position to enjoy the view and sun (or rain) all day long. Fab concept well executed! Chilli nachos and dirty chips get our vote..

We managed to get a booth so had a good view of the village and beach. Always an impressive place for watching the sea. Service this time impressive and coffees brought by a member of staff to our table Always a pop in place for tourists, locals and walkers with or without dogs. Can get a bit noisy and seems... More

Called in for lunch bit of a wait but had two lovely fish pies could do with a bit of salad or veg on plate to make a more balanced meal , sat in booth and watched surfers in the sea on a lovely cold but bright winters day

Right on the beach, a very relaxed place to have a meal with friends and family. Food is all the family favourites and the place has a good surfer buzz. Always busy so enjoy a drink whilst you wait.

Visited the Blue Bar for lunch with a friend. Busy even though it was mid week. The service was good. There was a good selection on the menu with a varied specials selection. Have been going to the Blue for several years and as always it was a lovely, tasty, relaxing visit. Would recommend.

It's worth visiting Blue for the location alone - the glass booths are great for watching the waves, the surfers and the sunset, and it's particularlly good when the weather is wilder. We always visit several times when we're in Porthtowan. It's a really relaxed place and welcomes dogs too. Staff are friendly, the food is good (really enjoyed the... More

This is a place that has problems that I don't see ever changing because it's location (which is admittedly stunning) will always bring people in. You could easily make the same mistake that me and my family did for a fair while of thinking that this bar is great, because every time you come here if it's warm you can... More

We stopped in while viewing a rental property so stumbled across it really, and what a find. Beautiful window seats with a gorgeous view. It has a clean decor and was very inviting. The menu is small, but I struggled to choose as all sounded lovely. The specials board was large and also lot's of choice I would be interested... More

We visited for breakfast and had lovely hot chocolates on a chilly morning which were to die for and the bacon ciabattas were delicious! Try it out!
