Typical Cocina poblana, in this place as in almost all the restaurants with typical Mexican food is the Puebla traditions cooking mainly recipes from the convents here you can try the "dulces poblanos" small deserts all hand mail with recipes from the nuns. You can buy small baskets and bring them home, this candies are of different color and taste... More

Expensive and not worth the money. The taste is really not there and there are plenty of other options around for less.

A beautiful spot, excellent service, good margherita, good guacamole. So we expected a good main dish. But what a dissapointment! The sauces could not taste cheaper und the shrimps in coconut-crust were simply uneatibel.

We had to dine here twice...it was that good! The service is simply amazing...they even place the napkin on your lap! The guacamole is the best and served in a cute corn husk boatlike container. The pork with green mole is divine. The wine list is extensive. We were showered with attention and our every whim was catered to. We... More

Highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful rooms (we stayed in "Los Angeles"), quiet, nicely decorated, comfy bed with great A/C, helpful staff. Food service at breakfasts was wonderful and very attentive. We chose Los Angeles suite because it was quiet and had an outdoor jacuzzi. If we did it over again, we'd skip the jacuzzi because it was old and tired... More

Excellent service. Great sopa Azteca and good traditional dishes. Quiet but the location is unbeatable and the interior is quite nice.

The restaurant is located in the centre of a beautifully restored colonial house. It is a calm oasis in the middle of a busy city. The food is mainly traditional Mexican, with some interesting specialities. The Mole Pueblana sauce was excellent, although the chicken a little dry. The consommé was delicious. Wine prices not horrendous. Service was attentive. We ate... More

This is a lovely place to enjoy a meal. A beautiful, large courtyard with the statue of la China Poblana welcoming you . We enjoyed 2 courses at dinner, well prepared and expertly served. My roasted snapper was particularly tasty. A bottle of Casa Madera wine was enjoyed with dinner. Our only problem was that we ordered 2 little tequilas... More

This place was great for a romantic meal-- they had love trivia music and great house wine. The pink mole was amazing-- I would go back just for that. As was the appetizer plate with cheese, bean and banana quesadillas. Would definitely go again. Prices are a little higher than some other places but we thought I was worth it.

Great location and ambiance to enjoy a traditional Pueblan meal. Puebla is considered by many in Mexico to have the best mole and this restaurant is an excellent place to eat mole whether for your first or hundredth time. We also recommend the tortilla soup (Azteca), poblana soup, and the salads, though everything we sampled was good. The open air... More
