It is located just around the corner of the street 5 de Mayo in Puebla (the most important walking street) It is 2 restaurants.. one right across the other. They specialize in tacos but they serve a few other dishes too. It is by far the best tacos in the city and I have invited friends from Greece, Norway and all over Mexico and everyone loves them so I can't understand why they aren't listed in tripadvisor yet. They are the best known tacos in the city I am sure

Buzzing place; tasty fare

Very busy place, filled with locals so quite excited. The food was really tasty, and despite how busy they were service was quick. It's not a pretty place, and very loud. But good for a pit stop to refuel. Reasonably priced.

This is a quick, cheap and cheerful place to grab some tacos for lunch. They salsas, tacos, service is all great. This is a no frills place if you look from the outside, but the food is very tasty and some of the nicest tacos we have had in 8 weeks around Mexico.

This is definitely worth a visit for lunch. It's like entering a whizzing carousel—tables teeming with people, waiters racing about, musicians playing in one corner, Samurai chefs shaving meat in a row as you walk in. All the food is good, but beware: the portions are HUGE.

Just really, really good tacos. Super salsas, great service, amiable atmosphere. Cochinita pibil as good as I've ever had. Wonderful, flavorful tacos. A step up from street food in atmosphere, and as good as it gets in this type of cuisine. A super choice if you want to have a taste of authentic local cuisine.

We tried Las Ranas for lunch, and arrived between noon and 12:30pm. There was no wait and we went straight in. We had the Arabes with pita bread (we don't care for tortillas) and much enjoyed them. We also had two portions of onions....delicious, but one plate between two would have been enough. Service was prompt and helpful, with the... More

We had dinner at Las Ranas twice and very much enjoyed all the food: Queso fundido with Chorizo was great, Arachera and Alambres were excellent. Portions were hughe, everything comes with the usual trimmings and tortillas and everything at a very reasonable price. We were with two and did not manage to finish two main dishes! The place has a... More

Tasty arabes. A bit confusing to do takeout, there seems to be one long line for tables and/ or takeout, but it moves. Tacos were good, not earth shattering like all the stupid hype sites say. I got sick from the red hot sauce, which was either sitting out too long or I ate too much of it. Good portion... More

Las Ranas translates to The Frogs in English. For whatever reason a frog is a good luck animal in Mexico. Come to think of it I've never seen frogs legs on a menu so, there must be some truth to that. Puebla's know for it's take on the traditional taco due to the high number of immigrants from Lebanon back... More

Okay, this place is crowded, noisy and the servers are grumpy but this restaurant serves amongst the best tacos I have had in Mexico (and I love tacos!) While you won't be made to feel welcome by the staff, your orders come fast. All ingredients are fresh. The Tacos Arabe are el Pastor with a pita style tortilla - so... More
