It is located just around the corner of the street 5 de Mayo in Puebla (the most important walking street) It is 2 restaurants.. one right across the other. They specialize in tacos but they serve a few other dishes too. It is by far the best tacos in the city and I have invited friends from Greece, Norway and all over Mexico and everyone loves them so I can't understand why they aren't listed in tripadvisor yet. They are the best known tacos in the city I am sure

Bring a wagon for leftovers!

This is definitely worth a visit for lunch. It's like entering a whizzing carousel—tables teeming with people, waiters racing about, musicians playing in one corner, Samurai chefs shaving meat in a row as you walk in. All the food is good, but beware: the portions are HUGE.

Just really, really good tacos. Super salsas, great service, amiable atmosphere. Cochinita pibil as good as I've ever had. Wonderful, flavorful tacos. A step up from street food in atmosphere, and as good as it gets in this type of cuisine. A super choice if you want to have a taste of authentic local cuisine.

We tried Las Ranas for lunch, and arrived between noon and 12:30pm. There was no wait and we went straight in. We had the Arabes with pita bread (we don't care for tortillas) and much enjoyed them. We also had two portions of onions....delicious, but one plate between two would have been enough. Service was prompt and helpful, with the... More

We had dinner at Las Ranas twice and very much enjoyed all the food: Queso fundido with Chorizo was great, Arachera and Alambres were excellent. Portions were hughe, everything comes with the usual trimmings and tortillas and everything at a very reasonable price. We were with two and did not manage to finish two main dishes! The place has a... More

Tasty arabes. A bit confusing to do takeout, there seems to be one long line for tables and/ or takeout, but it moves. Tacos were good, not earth shattering like all the stupid hype sites say. I got sick from the red hot sauce, which was either sitting out too long or I ate too much of it. Good portion... More

Las Ranas translates to The Frogs in English. For whatever reason a frog is a good luck animal in Mexico. Come to think of it I've never seen frogs legs on a menu so, there must be some truth to that. Puebla's know for it's take on the traditional taco due to the high number of immigrants from Lebanon back... More

Okay, this place is crowded, noisy and the servers are grumpy but this restaurant serves amongst the best tacos I have had in Mexico (and I love tacos!) While you won't be made to feel welcome by the staff, your orders come fast. All ingredients are fresh. The Tacos Arabe are el Pastor with a pita style tortilla - so... More

Las Ranas is a festive family restaurant in Puebla, which seemed popular with both locals and visitors. There was hardly a table, but this added to the buzzing atmosphere. The tacos arabes and the tortas were spectacular, mouth-watering dishes, and it was fun to learn about their cross-cultural story in Puebla. Our waitress was extremely helpful in both English and... The tacos were massive and fantastic. They were stuffed to the brim and were rich and delicious. Unfortunately, however, we experienced the worst mosquitoes that we have seen in our month in southern mexico. My major complaint here is the waiter. He wasn't helpful at all and we had to remind him multiple times to bring the beer we ordered.... More
