Pancho Villa Restaurant/Museum

This restaurant, which you need a reservation for, is packed with Pancho Villa memorabilia. You will that you are dinning in a museum! The food is good and authentic and tasty. The place is a bit packed, but has a cozy feeling. There's was live music when we were there, hope you have it as well.

Driving by, you'd never know the gems that hide away behind the European looking facade of the buildings looking kinda cramped but charming at the same time. This place was definitely one of those gems. The door was locked, and there was a spoon to pull to get in if you have reservations (my boyfriend and I had reservations. Not... More

High quality Mexican food. You have to go if you are in Zacatecas. It is a small bistro with only 10 tables, nicely decorated. You have to make reservations for lunch or dinner. Excellent food, I ordered “Chamorro” (pork) incredible! Excellent value for food quality. Nice location in city center.

In my first trip to Zacatecas, my boyfriend took me to this little place. I do think they are too strict when it comes to reservations and giving you a table if you don't have one, but, if you think about it's ok since it ensures you a table and you won't keep people waiting for no use outside. I... More

The place actually looks gorgeous, with all those Pancho Villa paraphernalia. This probably makes good food taste closer to "great" than it actually is. Still not at all bad though. It's a shame that its extreme popularity (including with the Lonely Planet crowds) means an almost hostile attitude towards potential customers - the front door is always closed, you often... More

Asked our taxi driver to take us to the MOST authentic restaurant on Zacatecas. He took us to this little house, asked us to knock...we were a bit confused but as we looked in, it was indeed a restaurant and they took us in. I had the Enchiladas Suizas, my cousin had the Caldo de Pollo. Omg Its been forever... More

The food it´s delicious but nothing outstanding however unless you made a reservation you are not allowed in. We were there half hour early and they did not permit us to get in. The attendant barely open the door to ask for information and told us to wait outside until it was time so we thought it better be packed.... More

DORADO. west of centro, about -5 minutes walk towards the Raphael Colonel museo. Have to ring the bell and they ask you if you have reservations but we got in anyways. Beautifully tiled, home-y looking and chock full of knick knacks, but done well. Good menu, lots of enchiladas and local specialities, food quite good. The very disappointing aspect was... More
