Friendly authentic place

A small, but authentic menu. Very friendly staff. Serves a decent wine (so my wife tells me). Good value for dinner.

We wanted to taste some local food and were recommended this place by lots of people, including the hotel manager. We went to try el Asado de Boda which is the specialty in Zacatecas. The food is very good and the attention is good also. We went after a long weekend so there were very few tourists and we had... More

I was recommended this place by my hotel when I asked for a good Mexican place nearby the sights. It is a stone's throw from the Cathedral, and so it is convenient. The fare is very Mexican, and decidedly Zacatecas-inspired. I only saw Mexicans while I was there, so I guess it is a good sign...

After going to Cerro de bufa, we asked the taxi driver for a place of authentic Zacatecas food and he brought us to this restaurant. We met the chef right off and he was very nice.he suggested a couple of dishes and we were not disappointed. There was a singer playing a guitar playing singing beautiful songs. Back to the... More

Right across the street from the Hotel Reyna Soledad. Large restaurant in the lower level of the Mercado with simple but fine decor. Serves basic Mexican staples while Ranchero music videos playing on the TV. Good arranchera

It is a traditional place, but very crowded, not great service, the food is just like any other fonda style restaurant in Zacatecas, probably there are many better. It is not bad. not great.

Some people recommended me to try "Asado de Boda", so I went to La Cantera Musical and placed my order for this traditional dish made out of pork in a sauce of pasilla chiles. The order was served promptly and despite the runny sauce ( the original picture showed more of a thick sauce), the taste was good, not spicy... More

Great asado de bodas and tacos de lengua ... warm (good in a cold city)!! The wait staff was a bit overwhelmed and they do not accept cash (NOTE this). But the food was all reasonably priced and the asado de bodas and tacos de lengua were very good. Nice to try local food here!
