A lovely dinner in a special setting!!

Tried to go here the last time in Moralia but it was Sunday evening and they were closed. Last night we made it and everything was great. The service was first rate, the food was beautifully presented and the ambiance was just what I would want. Will definitely go back next time in Moralia

With friends or on buisness this is the place to go to be impressed by the decor, price is reasonable and staff is friendly. Must see the "spinster room" (rincon de las solteronas)

Restaurant San Miguelito is a 10-15 minute cab ride outside of Morelia's historic center (next to a casino). With families, friends celebrating, business meals, it doesn't seem like a very touristy place. It's a very quirky place, the walls packed with paintings, and every nook and cranny stuffed with statues and odd artistic bits and pieces. There are deer antler... More

I had great expectations as it is considered one of the best restaurant in Morelia, where the food is usually sublime. It is located a couple of miles outside the center in a building nicely decorated with original mexican fixtures. Some of the rooms are heavily "baroque" but nevertheless attractive and comfortable. My problem was the preparation of the food... More

Very interesting place. Great food and atmosphere. Contains over 700 images of St. Anthony of Padua that are all 'upside down.' There are stacks of notebooks in the bar area that are filled by women who have left 13 coins at the base of the largest, circled it 13 times and then prayed to St Anthony for the perfect mate.... Place was strangely decorated. When you go to have a fine dinner, probably you will prefer not to sit on a wooden chair whose backrest has a skull. Yes, I agree, skull and bones are not the same in Mexico than in the rest of the world, but sculptures, lamps, chair, decoration is really so overwhelming that this really marks... More

All tables and chairs are different from the others and have plates and cocktail or wine glasses that are unique to the table they are on. It was like walking through a museum or high level furniture store while viewing the fantastic tables, chairs, and settings. Of course, the upside down statues are famous. The menu is varied and interesting.... More

Great ambience, great service very good food. Filete Patron is awesome, tender and very tasty beef. Tortilla Soup really good as well as the tacos sudados de chicharron. Portions are generous. A must visit while in Morelia

Apparently there's simply no better place to eat in Morelia. I love the setting of this restaurant, the service and the food. Don't forget to bring your camera, the place is fantastic.
