The food is really good ! Local food with a gourmet touch. Is located in downtown and I suggest to seat outside, to have the beautiful views of the cathedral and the gardens.

Friends and I love to sit outside and watch all the beautiful people walk by. Breakfast is delicious, lunch/diner are exquisite. My favorite dessert is Tentacion. It is a chocolate cake, almost like a soufflé, with warm chocolate inside of it and vanilla ice cream on top.

Casona Rosa recommended we eat there. Their food is prepared well with great care. The salads are fantastic. I am a vegetarian so I had a Tarascan soup and salad. The desserts are very good also.

'Lu', the creation of Chef Lucero Soto, is well-regarded for its twist on Michoacáno cuisine -- and earns its reputation. We sat on the outdoor patio for the view of the Square, which was impaired slightly by the frequent buskers / serenaders / pan handlers from the street; but the ambience was very good. The service was solid and helpful,... More

Quiet enough to talk, brightly lit enough to eat, fast service, delicious food, satisfying portions, lovely atmosphere. We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant and will definitely recommend it to others and return ourselves.

We returned to this restaurant last night and had wonderful lamb chops which we shared. They were served in a dark fruit mole with an extremely good tamale that had hints of citrus. Two chops apiece plenty for us. Frequently we share an entre and most restaurants are great about doing so. Entrees are usually way to large. I really... More

Right in front of the Cathedral of Morelia is Lu, a local restaurant with excellent food and international standards. The service is efficient, polite and fast. The variety of dishes and beverages, all prepared with local ingredients and traditional style is enough to make you return. The menu features many specialties of Michoacan's cusine, like bread from Acámbaro, trout from... More

first tip, sit inside so as not the have the street vendors bother you, unless you like that kind of stuff, but im a sucker and always buy something because I feel bad for them. Second tip have the lamb, omg it was wonderful, they also have an English menu which is helpful, would recommend this place!

Where to start... very authentic local cuisine with influences from all corners of the Michoacan state. All courses and appetizers where delightful and well presented. Best meal during a 33 day vacation in Mexico and not the most expensive one, not even close. Great service, they were able to accommodate a group of us ten without reservation at peak time,... More
