Hi there, I was very sad to read that you didn't enjoy your experience with us at the bistro. The food clearly was not to your liking, so I apologize for that. I would just like to clear up that our specials board generally contains 5 of each dish on it, hence why it's a special, and if the venison... More

We took advantage of a beautiful day to visit Rosemarkie and decided to stop off for a light lunch. Husband had super devilled kidneys on toast which were very tasty and a generous portion. I had a mushroom pate with truffle oil and both of us were really pleased with our food. Chefs were busy preparing a new brûlée with... More

My partner and I had dinner here recently, and have eaten here many times over several years. The restaurant is now under new ownership and the standard was always good. We thought it could'nt be improved, but I have to say it far exceeded our expectations. We can certainly recommend the Crofter's! What a nice place, with nice staff and good bistro... More

We visited the Bistro on two nights running it was so good. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff attentive without being overly so. The food was excellent and consisted of I think mostly local ingredients, but cooked with as they say nowadays 'a modern twist'. The portion sizes are just right, which enabled us to have a pud,... Spontaneous trip to rosemarkie. Delicious food sitting out in the patio area. Service pretty quick. Food was very fresh and well delicious. Sizable portions so couldnt manage dessert. Definitely on my recommend list.

This restaurant is owned by Penelope Keith and her son is the chef. The food was mostly very good. We had devilled kidneys for starter. Which was absolutely delicious! Then for main I had the mussels (a daily special) - it was a little bit lacking in flavour unfortunately. My husband had fish cakes - he said they were very... More

What more is there to say, an absolute gem. Just ate at the Crofters Bistro and can honestly say that the meal we have just enjoyed is one of the best experiences we have had in a good number of years. The see views are also stunning. We are on holiday in Inverness and totally recommend The Crofters Bar to... More

6 of us visited on a sunny August evening and were lucky enough to have the window table - beautiful view over the Firth and a stunning sunset. The standard menu was supplemented by some exciting specials - great smoked trout pate which we enjoyed, and also highly recommended is the devilled kidneys on the starter menu. Main courses lived... Had another fantastic visit to this real gem of a bistro located in the lovely village of Rosemarkie, on the Black isles. My friend and I requested ravioli filled with butternut squash on a bed of lentils however we requested it to be a little bit spicy. Our request was conveyed to the chef by our lovely waiter NIall and... More
