Casa Dahlia is our favourite art gallery in San Jose. The owner Leah Porter is a wonderful painter in her own right but she also has a fantastic eye. Anyone on art walk should drop in. The shows changes, Leah is always happy to tell you about the art and the artist and its always a great experience. Behind the... More

It was lovely to eat several varieties of wood-fired pizza in a lovely courtyard setting behind a good art gallery--and watch classic movies. We went twice and loved the experience both times--and at incredibly affordable prices. I can't understand how EVERY review is excellent, and yet the ranking is so low! Strange algorithm TA must use to do the rankings.

Casa Dahlia--the gallery and the cafe--is our favorite place to visit in San Jose. After visiting year after year, we have become friends with the entire staff, with special affection for Leah, Julio, Hector, and Bob. Their breakfasts and lunches continue to get better year after year. It's the first place we go when we come to San Jose--in fact... More

We happened upon this little restaurant a little too late in our 6 months in San Jose. We didnt try the food (next year) but the coffee served in a french press was much appreciated after not being able to find a good cuppa all this time. We hope to enjoy all the delights as described in the previous review,... More

Lovely quiet courtyard with about 5 tables. The food was excellent. Try the Jamaica tea-it's unusual but very refreshing on a hot day. They have wifi and it's also an art gallery.

A small place as described by previous reviewers, we also found it during the Thursday night art walk. The service is friendly, the location is tranquil and the pizzas from the outdoor wood-fired oven were only surpassed by the flan which was also prepared in the wood-fired oven. Also one of the better salads we have had in SJdC. Wine... More

Is it just me or do other people go on vacation and end up vibing with one place, usually a business, that becomes their home base? This trip Casa Dahlia gallery & cafe was that place for me. Friends and I first stumbled upon Casa Dahlia while touring the various downtown galleries. Casa Dahlia was showing the first exhibit I... More

This lovely little cafe is located at the back of the Casa Dahlia restaurant. It has just re-opened after being closed because of the road work in front. The menu is limited but it all looks good. I had the grilled fish tacos which were accompanied by a delicious salad. Everything was perfect. the outdoor cafe space is delightfully landscaped.... More

Hidden in the historic centre of town this tiny restaurant outdoes its size with the quality of food. Pizza on thurs/fri from a brick oven, live classical guitar, all in a hidden courtyard behind an art gallery. They do breakfast and lunch other nights. You won't be disappointed if you seek them out. Try the coffee too....it is the best... More

Casa Dahlia operates a wonderfully quaint little restaurant in the garden behind the gallery. It is open for breakfast and lunch and they serve pizza from a stone oven on Thursday night. The menu is limited but everything is fresh and well prepared. The Baja fish tacos are especially delicious. Julio and Hector always provide excellent service.
