On the North of Downtown. the Blond Bull is worth it. Great Seafood. the Mango Fish Fillets are awesome and the Gilled Octupus and Jumbo Pawns. We ate and feed family of 6 for $50 US. The Margarita was also with Don Julio Silver 70. (I was told) I have not seen a quicker serve and waiters who really hustled.

Eat with the locals! This was a great restaurant, but not easy to find, so take a taxi. Lobster was fantastic and the garlic squid was just as good. Great ceviche, and sauteed fish filet. Recommended by our hotel bartender, and many other locals knew of this restaurant and often frequented by locals. Plates were plentiful and everything was delicious!

After all the great reviews we loaded our party of 8 into a taxi and drove to this restaurant. We were surprised to find it is basically a large beach shack with concrete floors. It is on the edge of San Jose and there is nothing else near it. Definitely not worth the exorbitant cab fare! Food was ok. Nothing... More

My son and I stopped here on the way to the airport, and left wishing we had found it earlier. It would have been worthwhile to drive from Costa Azul to eat here more than once. We both had the filete Toto Guero and it was a fantastic experience. Creamy cheese sauce with shrimp, pulpo, and scallops, covering several thin... More

We discovered this place though our fishing guide who said it was the best place for mexican food in San Jose. It was a bit out of the way but we had a car and made the trip. It was well worth it and we will be back.

We have been here a few times now for the coconut shrimp, shrimp tacos, and the special (I have no idea what it is actually called) as seen in some of the pictures posted. It basically has every item on the menu and is enough to feed ~4 adults. Highly recommended. Behind the oxxo, friendly service and frequented by locals.

No frills but GREAT seafood. Recommended by our taxi driver and locals we met at the beach! Big portions so share the meals so you can try more items. We had their empanadas (fish, smoked marlin and shrimp), shrimp ceviche, stuffed shrimp and shrimp cilantro. Chased it down with the coldest beer and it was great. Loved the soup broth... More
