If you want some of the best authentic tacos that are not "gringonized" go the The Hangman! Fresh handmade tortillas right before your eyes, lots of salsas and condiments, nice staff, great prices, excellent food! Great decor, lots to look at! We try and come here whenever we are in San Jose del Cabo. I hope they will be back... More

This is a taco shack, but don't let that put you off. The decor is quant with lots of old brik a brak hanging from the ceiling. But the food and service is great. Traditional Mexican eat with your hands food. Live music to eat to and very friendly service.

OK, have the tacos if you must, but the menu has so many other wonderful authentic items made from local foods, why waste the chance of a superior meal? The decor can keep you busy, if you dawdle over a great meal after a busy day -- fun mix of locals and tourists, nice service, live entertainment. Off the strip... More

If you love meat tacos this is the place for you. Unique delicious fillings with fantastic service! I would return. I think we tried almost all the taco flavors except the tongue - they were all good. My favorite was the pork pipian.

We have been here before and the place continues to delight. Food is great and features popular Mexican specialties although I was hoping for some mole had to settle for the Costillas which did not disappoint . The bean soup was unbelievable could have made a meal out of this alone! The service was friendly prompt and attentive. They have... More

Hangman is a strange looking place but it is well worth looking past the decor to find some of the best tacos and quesadillas in town. While tourists come to this place, this is the real deal, an authentic taqueria. Tacos are meat tacos with a large variety of Flavors - chicken espanola was our favorite. Quesadillas come in vegetarian... More

We have been going here for many years. These are not the regular tacos as they have many kinds and many kinds of salsa to put on the tacos. Give them a shot and you will be back. Very popular with locals.

We stumbled across The Hangman when we were lost. We asked a waiter for directions and he went out of his way to help us find our way. Because of this excellent service, we decided to go back a few days later for dinner. We were not disappointed. We tried the tacos and the quesadillas. The service was excellent and... More

I'm sure The Hangman has become more "touristy" as time has gone on. But all of the "stuff" that makes up the ambiance hasn't change the quality of the food so I am told. We really enjoyed having a relatively simple Mexican meal that definitely had an interesting twist. They have things on the menu that you just can't find... More
