Guacamayas is a Cabo staple! Dirt floors and flies everywhere but the absolute tastiest stone bowls on earth! Skirt steak with cheese, cactus, and sauce. Heaven on a plate. You will not go home hungry.

A busy and bustling restaurant. Great food, great service. Well worth the trip into San Jose. They recommend the stone bowls, but the second time we went, we just ordered a bunch of tacos, quesadillas and volcanes. I would suggest doing that. The orange/red sauce is HOT! YUM!

We go to Guacamaya's every time we are in Cabo. You will need a car to get there. Very friendly staff and everything on the menu is great and inexpensive. We always order the very large stuffed potatoes (with meat or chicken).

Recommended by the owner of the house we're renting - great value and lots of choices. Staff spoke English reasonably well - took MasterCard and Visa only. Really inexpensive for local varieties

The food is consistent and very good and comes in a timely manner and I like the fact that they bring the sauces to the table rather than making you get up. The tacos de pastor are great!

We were wrapping up our Cabo adventure and decided to try Guacamaya's for a more low-key final dinner in Mexico. It was a great choice for us. It was mellow, off the beaten path, authentic Mexican cuisine, with all types of guests enjoying their dinners - ranging from tourists to locals to large families to the policia dining next to... Feels like the late 60's when there was no highway and the Baja race was just an idea and surfers knew where to get a great meal. But today it appeals to locals and their families, food is diverse,, very good and economical. Atmosphere of an open canopied tree patio with a view of the kitchen food prep area provides... More

We go there two times every trip. Very reasonable prices and the pork tacos are fresh carved off the roast. Many locals go there too.

This place reminds me of what restaurants used to be like 25 years ago in San Jose. Great food and excellent service, And to top it off, real margaritas like we used to get down here before Cabo got discovered!
