A local gem, a bit outside the tourist area, but worth the trek. Good food, nice wait staff, great prices. We always come here. Love the marinated pork in the stone bowl. Fast service with a smile. The marinated pork is the meat that is hanging and is shaved off fresh for you when you order. This is where the locals eat!!

We chose to eat at Las Guacamaya's because of the reviews from Trip Advisor. We are all glad that we did. Amazing food! Stone bowl, tacos, salsa's, tortilla's, and more. We ate until we had food babies. Service was great, nice covered outdoor seating with many fans to keep you cool. We are staying in San Jose and we took... More

Should have came here years ago. Best bean soup that I have ever had, worth the trip just for the soup. Tacos were very good beef and pastor along with grilled onions. It was very busy at 8:30 only 1 table open but the service was still good. Did I mention that the bean soup is to die for? Guacamaya's... More

Reasonably priced, great, uncommon entrees. The favorite was the "stone bowl", which literally was served in a HOT…… We had the combo which had cheese, guacamole, pearl onions, chorizo, beef, cactus, chicken. We had it three times in our week there. Tried a couple other eateries, but returned there 5 of 7 dinners! There's also a wonderful thin fried gouda cheese... More

This was one of the last places we had Dinner at and it was very good. The food is not made until you order it! It was great food and the salsas are hands down great. Good little local Diner with great atmosphere...

Their Mexican sausage tostada was very good, as well as their antojito with no meat. They had good service and a pretty well kept restaurant. Although I do not approve of their approval of smoking there. But some of the best food I've had on my vacation though.

As others have stated, the food, service, atmosphere (although no AC) are fantastic. Nothing really too add that has not been said...if in SJdelCabo and going out to eat, you can't go wrong here.

A late night snack turned into one of our favorite evenings with Tacos, margaritas, hot pot, all with live accompaniment from a strumming minstrel. The restaurant was a continuous bustle of people coming and going all having fun. If you miss coming here you will miss one of the truly perfect things of San Jose del Cabo!

I would have made the title of this review Good and Cheap...but didn't want to understate how GOOD the food was although it was equally cheap (which is good for family on budget). It is more authentic than hotel food and someone of the other places you will likely eat but yet, you do want authentic food right? I had... More
