We went to the Thursday San Jose "Art Walk" and discovered this nice little patio behind a gallery and it looked inviting. After walking around the Art Walk for an hour or so and viewing many restaurants and patios we came back to Voila and were glad we did. Rather than loud Mexican/American Country and Western music at 120 decibels,... More

We had the patio to ourselves! A very nice respite from noisy traffic and crowds. Our waiter, Aldo, was attentive and friendly. The food was the best meal we have had so far, fresh, prepared well, and the presentation was lovely. We enjoyed fish tacos and the seafood enchilada. Portions were large...and easily shared. The sauces were perfect and not... More

Stopped for lunch there one afternoon and had to say the meal was the highlight of our stay. The food presentation was excellent and the taste was every bit as grand. A lovely courtyard setting and wonderful place to spend a couple of leisurely hours enjoying ones self. We will visit this place again for sure on future visits to... More

Courtyard restaraunt with very nice atmosphere a little different than the usual courtyards in San Jose as it is attached to an art gallery. The music was soft and very enjoyable contribution to the experience. The food was good. A little 'pricey' and service for drinks was slow not just for us but others as well. There were a few... Voila, located in Plaza Paulina, was a convenient choice for dinner after the Thursday evening Art Walk in San Jose. Everyone was in a festive mood and the outdoor setting added to the sparkle of the evening. Knowing how busy this evening can be, we made a reservation. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable of the menu offerings and also, the... More

Quaint place that had live jazz music but the service was spotty at best. They seem to cater to certain tables but not all. We went without reservations but were seated within 1/2 hour. Then it took us 10 minutes just to get menus. Food took well over an hour to be served after ordering it. Waiter was not knowledgable... More

We were a party of ten for dinner and there was not a single complaint about the food, service or ambiance. Speaking for myself and three others who enjoyed the Pacific Halibut - it was superb. Cooked to perfection and presented beautifully, the halibut was amazing and 'repeat worthy'. Highly recommend Voila!

Our visit to Voila Bistro was for lunch on a day when there was no art walk. The place almost seemed abandoned, with a couple of customers and no staff. It took five or so minutes to be noticed and then seated. And the attentiveness during the visit was similarly spotty. The food was generally good though only average overall.... More

We've eaten at about a dozen restaurants in San Jose del Cabo in the past month, and this is a definite favorite. I had the most delicious sea bass encrusted with pistachios and macadamia nuts served on a bed of risotto. The courtyard is lovely, the sax music a delight (we even got in a couple of dances). This is... More
