I have so many great things to say about this restaurant. I would recommend going early in your stay because you will for sure want to return. Food: My husband and I had the Surf and Turf for two and it did not disappoint. The food was cooked PERFECTLY, the proportion was more than enough. It included steak, lobster tails,... More

Our 3rd time to La Taverna and it will not be the last!!! Justo, Chef and Owner, gives the most amazing personal touch and Jimbo's service is second to none! His Mexican Cajeta made table side, raises dessert to a whole new level! You won't find this anywhere else in a Cabo! Add this to your favorites...you won't regret it!!!

We walked by a couple times. We finally stopped for dinner. Jimbo is a wonderful waiter. My son had flambéed shrimp and loved it. But the hit was the flambéed desserts. My boys shared the strawberries and went nuts. My older son said it was better than anything I had ever made. My younger son asked for a glass so... More

We love this place! Best food in the Marina. We had the Cajun Shrimp quesadillas with the most delicious cole slaw we've ever tasted. My boyfriend loved the steak tacos and homemade guacamole also. Ask for Grandma's extra hot - hot sauce! On the side for sure. We've had a condo at Playa Grande for the last 15 years and... More

We had just landed, and our hotel was nearby, and we were starving. I figure, let's just find something quick and closeby. I landed upon this place on my TripAdvisor app, but had pretty low expectations. The restaurant is right on the marina where were immediately harassed into jumping into water taxis (no thanks). I thought we were about to... More

The very personable front waiter Jimbo recognised us each day after having had a brunch there on our first day. Greeted us each time as we walked the Marina. On a late walk home after dining in the town, we stopped by and he made us at the table beautiful Sexy Lady flambéed coffee and caramalised Cajeto bananos with chocolate... More

This was our 5th time at this dock side eatery. Located in the Marina, by Senior Frogs, La Tavena did not disappoint. Two lobster tails, 12os boneless rib eye, shrimp and a filet of fresh fish plus garlic mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, under $60.00 for two people. " Jimbo " was our waiter and enhanced our visit. WE look... More

Located on the Marina where the Cruise ship tenders off load, La Taverna is easy to pass up when heading into town. However; you are missing a great little place to dine. We discovered it in 2013 and have been back several times. It is located on the walkway on a raised platform. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.... More

We stumbled on this after purposely avoiding the food places along the marina. What caught our eye: tapas and the fantastic waiter Jimbo (Jaimie). Very personable and extremely knowledgeable about foods and wine. He also cooks several dishes at your table (e.g. Chateaubriand, Mexican Banana Foster). The banana foster was amazing to watch him prepare...all the while explaining what/why he... More

Went here because the reviews made it sound like a great place. It was just so-so. Good price for beers and my husband enjoyed his shrimp quesadillas but I found the beef tacos really dry and lacking flavor. The cheviche was light on the fish. Service was slow and the restaurant's music competed with the party music next door. Not... More
