La Fonda is now Templo. We were not impressed at all. Our family has been doing to La Fonda for years and this is an unwelcome change. We are not impressed.

My family had very find memories of this place when it was la Fonda. New ownership changed everything. Do not go unless you have 3 hours to eat. Also I am vegetarian so I asked the server what he would recommend for vegetarian option so he mentioned the quinoa, it came out and it had chicken AND octopus in it!!... More

Smaller, but well appointed restaurant in the residential section of Cabo San Lucas north of Mi Casa. The food is varied and wonderful. The staff friendly and helpful. We try something new each time we go (even had the fried grasshoppers as an appetizer). We like to try new place to east each time we go to Cabo, but we... More

We have enjoyed this place for years as it was recommended to us by fellow pool dwellers at Playa Grande! We make it a point of going every year and my husband loves the bigger then life short rib! It truly extends over the edges of the plate! And it tastes fantastic! The service is very good and although it... More

My friends and I ate at La Fonda on our last night in Cabo. It was a wonderful choice. The house-like atmosphere was pretty and quaint. The restaurant is fairly small but so nicely done. The waiters were very helpful and friendly. For the most part the service was good although a couple of times we thought we were forgotten... More

It was a outstanding experience. The food and the service were wonderful and the music was magical. We loved the restaurant and the people who made our night great.

This place is actually pretty hard to find, but definitely worth it. I had one of the best steaks of my entire life while I was here. They give you AMAZING mashed potatoes as well, and the peppers they serve with it is amazing. My boss got the Lamb Chops in plum sauce and said it was the best meal... More

Disappointed in the quality of the food. Did you change management. Food did not have the flavors of grandmas cooking. Nor was it stove hot. The upgrade in to the restaurant it's self was nice to see, but when the food is impacted that is a shame. Hopefully next year it will be better. Yes, we all have our days,... More

La Fonda was a nice retreat from the traditional tourist traps of Los Cabos. About half the clientele were locals, and the food seemed legitimately authentic. That said, our waiter spoke excellent English, and was able to recommend some great stuff. The octopus appetizer was really special, as were the soups (which were layered with great flavors). The house enchiladas... More
