good food, awful service

the food is good, the service is below average. we went to dinner yesterday, for starters I asked the bill to be divided 3 ways, and was responded that by policy of the restaurant, they can only split the tables in two... why? oh, it's policy. the wines are a bit pricey, so I decided to go with... read more

Had a very good meal here. Everyone very friendly. Don't have the Arrabiata unless you like things very very hot. My brother-in-law did and hats off to him, he finished all but a few pieces of penne.

Returning to Doc's Wine Bar after a more than 12-month absence was a delightful surprise. Unlike the last time, we order mussels and received mussels of the highest quality served in a tasty gorgonzola sauce. The order was large and easily could be split between a couple. We asked for a wine selection from the wine steward to accompany our... More

We visit Doc fairly often when in the mood for simple, fresh Italian food. Definitely one of my favorite Italian spots in Cabo and well worth the visit. Keep in the good work!

Walking distance from our hotel in Cabo - you would think you were at a wine bar in Manhattan or Italy! Wonderful service - great wine - absolutely fabulous fresh food ! we had wonderful heirloom tomatoes, homemade cheeses and carpaccio

Doc Wine Bar is a special place for dining in Cabo San Lucas. It is a short walk from the Main Street and is located next to Mi Casa. Doc Wine Bar is a great kitchen with two seating areas and room for approx 35 patrons. The tables are spaced well, and there are interesting hard bottom chairs (not best... More

Lovely, romantic bistro with everything made fresh daily, including the pasta and bread. We both had beef medallions, cooked two different ways, and mushroom pasta. A bottle of Primitivo was teasonable at 750 pesos, although there were much more expensive chooses on the extensive wine list. We will definitely return to this restaurant. BTW, there is a parking garage on... More

When they told me the risotto would take 30 minutes, I knew it was bring made to order. Excellent, authentic seafood risotto. Nice bite on the rice. Other dishes, particularly thick tuna steak in a lemony sauce also perfectly cooked. Great wine list. Not quiet, but you probably don't go to Cabo San Lucas if you want peace and quiet!

Such a gem in town full of hype and misguided signs and banners! DOC is absolutely a breath of fresh air and I cannot believe we ate such incredible, fresh and ridiculously amazing Italian food last night. The staff was brilliant and actually hilarious and very cool. The owner (really Italian) was so nice and so attentive. My pasta was... More

We had a reservation at DOC which they had on the wrong day.mthey were able to accommodate us . The table was small and the Resturant was pretty warm and quite warm. The wine list was extensive for good Italian wines but the supply of each was limited. We all had crostinis which were tasty and then had pasta dishes... More
