The owner is the man. Mexican food as a whole is bland to me, but he had great sauces and dips that he created, fresh swordfish torts when I was there, and all the Mexican entrees you expect. Best of all, it is very affordable. If you want the craziness, like Squid Row, then this is not your type of... More

Our group of 9 walked from Billigans back to our hotel, the Palmar and we found this place on the way back. Place had a great ambiance and no one was there. The wait staff was extremely helpful and attentive. They were so amazing. The food was delicious. Chili re llanos were to die for and by far they had... More

We recently went to Cabo San Lucas for a friend's wedding and stayed in our timeshare, Pueblo Bonito but were relegated to stay in Rose rather than Sunset. The food at Rose is horrible, a step below carnival food, so we walked out of the resort and lo and behold there was a small restaurant to suit our needs. We... More

The restaurant name is Frank's Place and it is near the Marina in Cabo San Lucas. It is on the main I street, Marina Blvd. We found this place through a timeshare reward and it was the best part of the timeshare experience. I had the blue tacos and flank steak, both were wonderful. Our daughter wasn't feeling well and... More

The place we stay in Cabo San Lucas is half a mile from town, which doesn't bother me because I'm a great walker. But I keep going with people who don't want to walk very far, so they tend to go to places that are within a couple of blocks. So on our most recent trip, I had to go... More

Our family of five (all adults - two girls in their early 20's, plus us "old folks", LOL) had dinner at Frank's Place. I have heard it's a spin-off of La Ricazon? You could still see the old signs for La Ricazon above the establishment. Anyway, three of us had the alfredo pasta. That sauce was excellent! So full of... More

We ate here at the recommendation of a friend. The good news...it has a nice off the path ambiance to it. The bad news....service was pitiful and made a "Mexican Minute" look like a flash. Margaritas were all lime juice and no flavor, even after sending them back. Chicken tortilla soup should be called tortilla soup as there was no... More

Had to laugh when we arrived and the guy asked if we had a reservation. There was no one in the restaurant. Once seated, we had great service and really enjoyed the tasty, Mexican cuisine. Will definitely eat here again.

We were starving our first night in Cabo and were excited for our first meal. We took a taxi to town and chose La Ricazon. It had the appeal we were looking for, nice decor, outside (but covered) seating, ambiance.. We were all somewhat disappointed. The menu was not substantial and had the feel of a chain restaurant, but the... More
