We took an elderly couple and their American daughter for lunch on a sunny but windy day. Too chilly to eat outside but had spacious table arrangements inside to give a feeling of being outdoors. Food was simple from a short menu but very tasty and promptly served. The portions were about right and we would have liked a dessert... More

Stopped of at Waterside for lunch, last weekend, the Weather could of been better, but alas the food made up for it, & the views are to die for. Service is also excellent , staff very attentive.

Nice place wonderful setting along the broads, reasonably priced, clean and modern. Food was ok, nothing special, but by no means bad.

My family love The Waterside. It is our first stop for lunch when we arrive on holiday, and our last lunch before we leave again! This week we have also popped in for white hot chocolate and cake (twice!) and taken a lovely boat trip around the broad too! Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely setting and a lovely little play... The open pie was very good, large portion of well cooked food and excellent value. Both my sons enjoyed the BBQ pulled pork. My wife who is on a gluten free diet arrived to find they had checked the menu with the chef, and marked what she could and couldn't eat with substitutes where possible. She really enjoyed her risotto.... More

We have been several times before but today we were very disappointed. We were seated promptly and had our orders taken quickly. My cappuccino was just a milky coffee, no froth, not a cappuccino . Then a long wait for some toasted sandwiches, mine came several minutes after my husbands and both were cold fillings between slices of toast, the cheese... More

We been to the Waterside a couple of times in the past for lunch. But our last visit the main menu had gone, we were told that's all at the Boathouse now, down the road. With this we chose to eat at the Waterside, as we were there. The menu was basic " Burger Bar Fare" , we had to... More

Left feeling hungry and that was with after 2 course. Lovely surroundings but felt it was too expensive for what it was, also the waitress seemed to wait an awful long time to clear our plates away, then some got taken and not others. When asked if we could have chips instead it seemed an effort for the waitress. Could... More

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your visit to the Boathouse. The Boathouse opened on 28th April and it is fair to say we have had some teething problems with regards menus and staff. We have, and continue to, review staffing and vigorous training is ongoing. We have also reviewed the menus and portions in light of comments... More
