A lovely pub

We went here for dinner and the greeting when we arrived was good and our table was waiting. The service was good, efficient and attentive. Met London family for lunch here (we live in Bristol) after finding place in Good Pub Guide (sorry). Booking was easy and taken with a friendly telephone manner. Lovely three course lunch with drinks and coffee. Plenty of traditional roasts along with a set menu and interesting specials. Friedly and effciient servcie with staff appearing when we needed them and... More

Its called Marlows little secret and its not packed in with all the other restaurants and pubs in the town. The owner and staff are really friendly and the food is just excellent. Also it is as good as any celebrity chef establishment in the area and costs less. If you are looking for a really good meal in warm... More

Lovely atmosphere, good beer, good food and wine menu, with a nice selection on the specials board too. Great service. The starter we had from the specials board, (chilli beef with salad)was huge. Tried to leave a lot to keep room for the main course but it was too yummy. Can highly recommend it.

The Queens Head carries the tag line "Marlow's best kept secret" and after two years of working in the town it is well deserved. I had never heard of it until a wet Wednesday night. Follow the signs and prepare for an evening of hearty well cooked food at very reasonable prices in a welcoming pub. Our group enjoyed steaks,... More

Went for dinner for a friend's birthday and was not disappointed. The food was just delicious - good hearty portions and obviously homemade and fresh. Great selection of wine and a roaring fire on a cold January evening. Best pub meal in months!

This is a hidden gem.We have recommended it to all our friends. Excellent menu ,food ,management and service. Particular praise should go to the fair haired waitress Leona who was attentive and delightful. Probably the best waitress service we have ever received and we travel a lot. Hope she can stay with you for a long time ! We were... More

Absolutely gorgeous and at £8 fantastic value. 3 large cumberland sausages sat on a truely well prepared mash. Onion gravy green beans and mange tout. My daughter had a 2 snorker version and ate all but a little mash as she was full up :) Would recommend this meal on any day.

Marlow's little secret is truly wonderful. Set in beautiful surroundings, and tucked away, it really is a place you could keep to yourself. The food is up there with some of the best food I have ever had. We (my fiance and I) were positioned in the Snug area of the pub, which boasts a log burning fire and delightful... More
