We booked for the Eastern European dinner (a different country every month). We had hot beetroot soup, goulash, venison and apricot slice amongst the three course menu. We tasted each others choices to get a flavour of what was on offer. It was nice to have the option of something completely different from the normal curries/pub grub. They did Australian... More

This cosy traditional pub sells great beer but also has an excellent menu. The food is all freshly prepared and delicious. The pigeon breast with mushrooms & walnuts was an excellent starter. The Sunday roasts are great, the theme nights are great for a change, too. Definitely worth a trip!

We went with a couple of friends for a meal here a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it. I hadn't been for many years and wasn't sure what to expect. The atmosphere was lovely and service was friendly and efficient. We began with starters which everyone enjoyed - (goats cheese tart, pigeon breast and cheese croquettes), followed by... More

Great pub food. Friendly staff. Still looks a little tired especially the toilets. We experienced very slow service , waited an hour between starter and main. The pub wasn't busy only one other party there. If you have time to spare as we did then no problem

Four of us called in with the dog for an early lunch on Sunday whilst in the midst of a 16k walk This is a proper pub with log fires, excellent real ales and very friendly staff and customers. Three of us had the belly pork and one of us had the lamb stew with vegetables. We all decided on... More

We are Italians and we went there for lunch. They served a delicious veggie burger and some classic italian tagliatelle... My husband really enjoyed it! The location is a typical english inn. Very warm atmosphere and delicious food & great service! We'll definitely go back again!

We've recently been to the Swan for a family Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was great to enjoy an early Autumn treat. The food was seasonal and fresh, had the butternut squash soup and the butternut squash lasagna. Absolutely delicious and incredible value for money (£35 for the whole family, two course lunch with a few ales and pudding for the... More

My partner and I visited the Swan for his birthday, I had been many times before and was sure this would be just as good as my previous visits (albeit a couple of years ago). We both chose the starters of garlic and stilton stuffed mushrooms...which turned up as a few leaves of lettuce a flat mushroom with a bit... More
