This corner restaurant is so centrally located that I walked right past it for months without stopping in. I mistakenly assumed that because of its location that the prices would be way too high and that the food would be mediocre. I was completely wrong. I had a steak kebob today that was delicious and only 115 pesos. They have... More

Hard to beat El Pegaso for Eggs Benedict or for that matter any of the other wonderful breakfast selections. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the sauce perfectly flavored with the right amount of ham on toasted english muffins. A small side dish of hash browns and the bread basket were the perfect additions. The coffee was a little disappointing,... More

Oh my word!! First restaurant I had the pleasure of eating at during my stay in San Miguel de Allende. Great margaritas, home made guacamole and divinely authentic cuisine. Highly Reccommend!

I always feel like quite the gringo when I come here, but they have one of my favorite dishes in San Miguel. I believe they call it pork with mantel sauce. I could do without the bread they serve however.

Large menu ranging from the the Mexican traditional dishes to the gringo reliables with a bilingual menu as with so many places here. Catrina boxes on walls and for sale. Reasonably priced with a great location just a block from the Jardin/Plaza Principal. Attentive staff. Little heavy on the 2 sauces we had but worthwhile.

El Pegaso is a small restaurant just a block or so from Jardin. Standing in the doorway, it doesn't look like much, two rooms crowded with tables, one with a bar. It is a colorful place, reflecting the local culture, and you'd think that likewise, what would be on offer would be a sampling of local cuisine. Far from it--the... More

This reasonably priced restaurant has a very interesting combination of Mexican and Asian foods. The chiles en nogada, poblano chiles stuffed with fruit and and spices and topped with a creamy walnut sauce, were the best I've ever had. The service was friendly and informal but excellent and the setting was very pleasant.

We greatly enjoyed our recent dinner at El Pegasso. The service is friendly and attentive; the food is very good. Do not expect traditional Meixcan cuisine -- they have a wide variety of dishes, many with an Asian flavor. Rather than the traditional chips and salsa, they put warm bread and garlic butter on the table for all diners. The... More

Eclectic mix of traditional Mexican and Asian foods. The chorizo sopes are really good as are the enchiladas. Make sure you check the hours and day you want to go as restaurants are closed on seemingly random days
