The BEST Salsa and Mexican Food in San Miguel

The BEST salsa I have ever had in my entire life. The margaritas are delicious but strong and will sneak up on you, so be careful! We ended up eating here twice because it was so good. The rooftop (Terrazo) at this restaurant was super fun! Great view at night of the Parraquia. We had the queso with mushrooms and margaritas ! Muy Bueno. You would never know that there was a Terrazo here unless you know or ask !

I went with six other people for lunch, and the meal was fine, but not special. I don't remember that many dishes we tried, but the mole was not as interesting as many and the Robin Hood eggs were bland. We went because we'd read good reviews and it is around the corner from where we were shopping.

The menu might seem a little strange as they have some Chinese dishes on there. If you can go past that you will find that the food is actually very well prepared. The service is great and if you are not afraid of stairs, you can have dinner on a very nice terrace

I have gone twice now, First for dinner and we sat on the roof deck. That is the only reason I give 2 stars, and the stuffed mushrooms. They were good and I do love the roof with a view. However, rest of the food was a mixed bag from a menu with Chinese, sushi, Mexican, etc, etc. Nothing was... More

If you are visiting San Miguel you can't miss the famous red door that will lead you to El Pegaso. Amazing service, exquisite decor and out of this world food, combined all that with the great personality of their owners and bam! you scored a lifetime experience!

We waited just a little while for an indoor table and were very happy with their service. Breakfast is crazy around there, so expect the servers to be a little rushed. I ordered the Juevos Rancheros and the sauce was great and the eggs were perfect. Highly recommend for any visitor!

We went to this restaurant twice on our trip, and both times it was excellent. I was a big skeptical because of the large menu and wide variety of food types, but this was great for the kids, and everything we ordered was very tasty. We especially enjoyed the Seafood salad for two (a very large ceviche - yum!), goat... More

Two flights of narrow stairs open onto a lovely rooftop terrace. Sunbathing onion and cacti plants frame the pink and orange vistas of the gorgeous town of San Miguel, an architectural wonder. Old world artistry visible everywhere in the painted cornices and dramatic wood doors. Could Hugo make us feel any more at home? Por su puesto no! The food... More

One of my favorite San Miguel haunts, El Pegaso is a survivor. In the 10+ years I've been traveling to San Miguel, restaurants have come and gone, but this find remains. The ceviche, gazpacho, seafood entrees, and unusual "boutique" additions to the menu are consistent and very, very good (many even great). It's the place I tell new visitors to... More
