Description: MuRo Named after the two surnames of one of the two guys who own it, Cafe MuRo has been a Loreto Street stayed since May 2010, known for the quality of food and friendship of the staff- Cafe MuRo is a prestigious establishment well known for its cozy and homey atmosphere and popularity with locales and foreigners. Many regulars bring out-of-town visitors who want to get a "feel" of Mexican flavors in a not pretentious place. Some incongruous given its Loreto Street setting, the wood floors, orange walls, hanging ferns and intimate size give Cafe MuRo a warm, simple and very traditional San Miguel feeling. Unless you are heading to Handcrafts Market (Mercado de las Artesanias), you might miss this little and lovely restaurante. Cafe MuRo is much more a pleasant than the location might suggest. Not much to look at from the street, until you spy the delicacies within. The menu consists of simple, well-cooked, fresh and traditional Mexican food. Wonderful home-bread and soups, salad, good-sized portions, and fair prices make it a great place for everybody. Staff is friendly and helpful. When you come to MuRo, you are guaranteed a good meal and friendly service everybody time. Highlights include breakfast all day, a salad to die for and strong Mexican cofee that will knock you out. We assure you that once you are sitting in Cafe MuRo enjoying its food and service, you might want to stay longer that you originally tought! See you soon!

The owner is extremely welcoming and friendly. The food has a unique and tasty twist. It caters to gringos and it is extremely clean. It is a popular spit so a reservation for lunch or breakfast is recommended.

The reviews on this site were so enthusiastic that we went there for lunch. Lovely decor. Attentive service that was not running on Mexican time (most places have a very relaxed view of service, which is fine if you want to sit and talk while eating on warm terrace). The food was very good. Ample vegetarian options for my daughter.

I brought my Mexican guests to Cafe Muro on Sunday morning. The menu is interesting and varied, the food is good, however - when it came to the bill, there was an error in their favour. I pointed it out and when it was only partially corrected asked again. The waiter became irate and told me to shut up, he... More

This place is a wonderful for any meal up till 4 or 5 PM. We go for late breakfasts, brunch, and lunch, and everyone in every group I have been with loves the place. They have locally grown and organic food as well, and specialties are like nouveau Mexican or adventurous Californian. The service is friendly, fast, and caring, and... More

After sitting we were immediately offered hand sanitizer and jugo. The food was tasty and there were bottomless refills on the juice. The staff was a bit too attentive, but they cared alot and it shows with their eagerness to please - I'd come back!

Had the comida del dial, and wasn't too impressed, maybe should've had the tortilla soup..waiter watched me like a hawk, very uncomfortable, especially not customary in Mexico where people never watch others eat

Dear client, In spite that we do not agree with your description of our café, we thank you for having the time to write abou us. We just want to clarify that our menú describes the Arrachera as flank steak accompanied of nopales (cooked prickly pear cactus leaves), fried black beans, pico de gallo (tomato, red pepper, onion, cactus pear... Don't miss this gem! We loved it so much we returned twice after our initial visit. We had breakfast twice and lunch once. I highly recommend the food and the service was exceptional every time. Also loved the way the place was decorated. Very innovative and also very comfortable. Can't wait to go back!

Excellently decorated space, you feel special getting to eat there because its so cute. They run a tight ship and the service is very good, but sometimes over kill, we had someone brush off the bread crumbs twice off the table, with some rearrangements of the flowers on and off the table. I wish the eggs Benedict wasn't made with... More
