Description: MuRo Named after the two surnames of one of the two guys who own it, Cafe MuRo has been a Loreto Street stayed since May 2010, known for the quality of food and friendship of the staff- Cafe MuRo is a prestigious establishment well known for its cozy and homey atmosphere and popularity with locales and foreigners. Many regulars bring out-of-town visitors who want to get a "feel" of Mexican flavors in a not pretentious place. Some incongruous given its Loreto Street setting, the wood floors, orange walls, hanging ferns and intimate size give Cafe MuRo a warm, simple and very traditional San Miguel feeling. Unless you are heading to Handcrafts Market (Mercado de las Artesanias), you might miss this little and lovely restaurante. Cafe MuRo is much more a pleasant than the location might suggest. Not much to look at from the street, until you spy the delicacies within. The menu consists of simple, well-cooked, fresh and traditional Mexican food. Wonderful home-bread and soups, salad, good-sized portions, and fair prices make it a great place for everybody. Staff is friendly and helpful. When you come to MuRo, you are guaranteed a good meal and friendly service everybody time. Highlights include breakfast all day, a salad to die for and strong Mexican cofee that will knock you out. We assure you that once you are sitting in Cafe MuRo enjoying its food and service, you might want to stay longer that you originally tought! See you soon!

We ate lunch here after reading trip advisor reviews. Food was really good. This may have been our best meal in San Miguel. Restaurant has a charming atmosphere and the waiter and manager were very friendly and helpful. I would go again if in San Miguel

Nice friendly place for breakfast or lunch, no reason for it to be rated in the 1st 10, perhaps in the 1st 30 would be honest.

This is a cheerful little restaurant in SMA that serves great, healthy breakfast and lunch options. The owner is always around to make sure that you are happy and well taken care of. We went twice during a week-long stay.

... what more do you need?? I find myself going back often and having the same thing... I'm addicted to their hollandaise sauce !! The extensive menu and warm, friendly service makes it a real find. You can tell that the owners are there overseeing everything... Great prices and great food... You'll be hooked on the first bite of the... More

This is my second trip to San Miguel and I was excited to return to Muro. Our breakfast was wonderful (and reasonable). The service was warm and gracious. We also returned twice during our visit just to order the salsa for our meals at our house. One of my traveling companions fell in love with their coffee maker. Apparently, it... More

My fish in citrus was delicious, it was an explosion of taste and the service was excellent. Will be eating there frequently during my visit to SMA.

Over rated in ranking. Food was just average to good, not excellent like others in San Miguel. Not big on atmosphere, but excellent service and good prices

My friend and I stopped in for breakfast (during winter season it's a good idea to have reservations). While the ingredients were certainly fresh enough, my huevos were drenched in red sauce...in fact the entire plate had been the recipient of ladlefuls of sauce, so much that there left no taste for the beans, eggs etc. My friend had the... We had breakfast here our last morning and were only sorry we hadn't "discovered" it earlier. The atmosphere is charming and the service excellent. The food is very good and the menu offers both Mexican and American items. On a chalk board on the wall are three inspirational sayings of the day, i.e. "for every minute you are angry, you... More

If you're talking about the quality of food, I would not put Muro at the top of my list. There are two other restaurants in town that I think have better food. That being said, we love this place! Muro is colorful, cheerful, relaxed and just an all around great place to eat. We had breakfasts, lunch and dinners here... More
