This is a restaurant which serves few gringos who seem to love places which are tailored for serving the expat population. El Correo has excellent food and wonderful service. it's a brief walk from the Jardin and when we were there we went to El Correo 3 times. Gets 4.5 stars in my book. It deserves to be reviewed on TripAdvisor.

This is a very small restaurant with the best soups on the planet. They are known for their tortilla soup but the chicken noodle and chicken rice are both delicious as well. This is a very small restaurant with the best soups on the planet. They are known for their tortilla soup but the chicken noodle and chicken rice are both delicious as well. We started with guacamole and chips and it was beautifully presented, large enough for 4 people (we were only 2) and was possibly the best we've ever eaten.... More

We were here for lunch. When I compare this place to so many great restaurants in San Miguel I have to say the food just lacked a punch... or in other words the food was not as tasty as it could be. Combined with slow service I am sorry but I will have to give it only three stars. The... More

Nothing out of the ordinary, but a very good version of classic what you expect Mexican in a happy and friendly atmosphere. Well worth it!

I had a very delicious lunch here on my first afternoon in San Miguel. I enjoyed it so much that I returned for dinner with friends on a very rainy evening. The restaurant is cozy, the service was attentive and the Taco soup, one of their specialties, was excellent and a meal in itself.

Small with great service and food. Nice variety of choices on the menu for good mexican dishes including brunch. Both gringos and mexican frequent the resturant.

We were a party of five. My husband and I shared the Tortilla Soup and the Chili Rellenos. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous (we ordered two chilis for our platter, but you can order just one if you want). The chili Rellenos fillings were very tasty and smothered in cheese. A relative who spends three months a... More

We ordered too much food the first time we went to El Correo. We shared an order of the wonderful Chilaquiles, a bowl of sweet breakfast breads, a fruit plate and 2 coffee con leches. We ordered the Chiliquiles Bandera style which is served with 1/3 each of a red sauce, green sauce and a mole. They are all delicious...... More

I highly recommend this restaurant - so centrally located - good food well- priced and served attentively. What more could one ask for!
