Description: This is a restaurant which serves few gringos who seem to love places which are tailored for serving the expat population. El Correo has excellent food and wonderful service. it's a brief walk from the Jardin and when we were there we went to El Correo 3 times. Gets 4.5 stars in my book. It deserves to be reviewed on TripAdvisor.

We ordered too much food the first time we went to El Correo. We shared an order of the wonderful Chilaquiles, a bowl of sweet breakfast breads, a fruit plate and 2 coffee con leches. We ordered the Chiliquiles Bandera style which is served with 1/3 each of a red sauce, green sauce and a mole. They are all delicious...... More

Looking for quaint...great option off to the side of El Jardin. Needing a break from liquor try one of their fresh melon juices. Their guacamole is beautifully arranged in the shape of a flower moreover its delicious! Recommend for a break from the hustle. Buen provecho!

Quiet and lovely with a thoughtful menu, reasonable prices. Pablono Nogada, a seasonal specialty was fantastic and the mole sauce on the Chicken Mole the best we had in the weeks we ate our way around the area.

This surprising restaurant hidden in an enclave on the street proved a delightful surprise. it was almost full both times we went but we got the last table both times. The chili rellenos stuffed with beef and served with the rice and beans was such a generous portion that we split it. Miriachi players were a delightful surprise.

I consider this place a standard fare Mexican restaurant. This time we had guacamole, which is beautifully presented but probably too large for two to share. The other items we had were nice but not exceptional. Service was genial

Food is very Mexican and pretty tasty. Prices might be a little high for the kind of place it is but you won't be disappointed with your experience. Waiters are attentive and provide a sharp service.

World renown for their tortilla soup; also great chili's en nogada (in season) and enchiladas (very different from the drowning in gravy/sauce style of Tex-Mex fame).

I will separate the dining experience from unfortunate circumstances (I got sick in the middle of dinner, eating in wet clothes from a torrential downpour) The restaurant and the food were average. The room was small with the standard colonial-ish décor of SMA. The lighting gave everything a ghostly pallor. I have made chiles en nogada at home (yes, I... More
