Description: This new restaurant has only been open one month. The two owner chefs are from Atlanta GA, USA with years of experience. I heard it was good but "good" doesn't come close. It is WONDERFUL! It is a small place and if things keep going like they are now, it won't be long before it will be "Reservations Only." Their Osso Bucco is wonderful and they make their own pasta and use mostly organic ingredients and local organic cheeses like buffalo mozzerella. The boneless short ribs are fantastic. Everything is wonderful and the guys are friendly and walk around and talk with everyone. They don't have a liquor license yet, but when they get their wine list active, the place will be the talk of the town! I say this is without a doubt the best new restaurant in San Miguel de Allende and one of the best restaurants in town.

We love to go to Cafe Frienze but when we went last night for dinner, it appeared that they have moved... or maybe closed? Does anyone knows? I would love to hear that they have moved so we can still enjoy their great food. Their sign was off the door and there was no sign of new address.

My husband and I finally tried Cafe Firenze- and were sorry we hadn't been there sooner. Some of the best, most sophisticated cooking in San Miguel. The lovely owner told us he is going to close and take a few weeks off and look for a new location- we'll follow Cafe Firenze wherever it ends up- you should too!

This was our first return to this restaurant in a year. Time has not been kind. While the waitstaff remains friendly, the food was stunningly disappointing. The arrachera was tough and the flavor about as bad as I have ever experienced. The 75 peso mixed salad was a bad joke -- a few pieces of lettuce and some cheese and... More

Antonio is MOVING Firenze shortly (NOT CLOSING as rumors suggest). Last night the Grouper was very fine; the Arrachera was too salty for the woman. Calamari starter was done much like mussels in wine sauce - very nice. Good Malbec for $80, pesos per copa out of an unopened bottle. We had one each, but should have had a second.

This was at least my sixth visit over the past several years. As usual, excellent service, excellent food and the view is still unbeatable. The steak and grouper was wonderful - we split and made our own surf and turf,

We dined here on a Friday evening (only diners in the place). Great service, nice ambiance and outstanding food. We tried the antipasto platter to start, one entree of pumpkin ravioli with sage butter and another of rabbit ragout over spinach ravioli - delicious! Everything was top-notch. Perhaps the only complaint would be a fairly short pour on the glass... More

I had dinner with some friends here last week. I went with the beef short rib, which is apparently something they are noted for. It was indeed excellent. The up-close view of the San Antonio church makes this place a extra special.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Firenze with dear friends visiting from London. It was truly an exceptional evening with superb personal service by Carlos, our waiter. My friend suggested I try the Beef Boneless Short Ribs and they were the absolute best I have ever had anywhere. My wife loved the Raviolis in a... More

If you haven't tried the Cafe Firenze, you must. The view, service and the food is the best part. When I called for reservations, I also asked for directions. The address seemed a little confusing. It is across the street from the church of San Antonio in the white building. Our taxi driver knew exactly were to go. There is... More
