A great place for vegetarians, too.

I've eaten here several times and have really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The food is delicious, served at the right temperature, and I really like that the chips and dip are served immediately.

The food is consistently excellent no matter what you order. The staff is always attentive and professional. It's a great place to meet friends for lunch, to bring your family for Sunday dinner or to enjoy some quiet time with your partner. Along with your entrée, you can choose two sides. My favorites are sweet potato casserole and jicama salad.... More

We met friends for lunch in this busy restsurant. Our friends who live in San Miguel de Allende suggested we meet there...they should know! I love the fact that you can order half a sandwich along with half an order of soup or a salad, portions were perfect. My BLT sandwich came with tons of crispy bacon on it and... More

We always make it a point to go to this restaurant when in SMA. The food is always great and the service friendly. We typically go for lunch but it also has nice dinner service. The menu has a lot to offer from both local cuisines to an international section that offers everything from grilled salmon to pasta. The fish... More

This is a go to restaurant in San Miguel. It is well managed and the staff are well trained. The food is always good and varied. There are excellent choices of salads, fish (seared tuna is my first choice)sandwiches and meal specials. The brownies and ice cream (enough for 4 to share) are warm and gooey and my favourite dessert.... More

Hecho en Mexico is a beautiful restaurant with an interior open courtyard just off one of the main streets in San MIguel. It is centrally located and attracts both locals and gringos. We had a very nice lunch there on our first day in town. Food is very good (recommend the fish tacos), but not the best we had in... More

We spent a lovely afternoon here after visiting the pyramids about 30 minutes away. There is original art on the walls and a quartet plays in the evenings. Hecho en Mexico is easily accessible, but not right in the crowded part of downtown. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food is filling and in the mid-price range. Palomas are... More

Hecho en Mexico packs in the locals and the gringos. We arrived to meet a friend at 6 p.m., and the place was three-fourths full. She had been there 15 minutes earlier and said only a few tables were taken. By the time our next guest arrived, 20 minutes later, the place was full When we left, an hour or... More

The huitlacoche fondue was just o.k. We're used to having hunks of huitlacoche in various food items. Blended, it made the fondue look gray and you couldn't really taste anything but the cheese. Other food was fine, and the service, margaritas and palomas was very good. We'd go back. The thing we didn't understand was the single men coming in,... More
