Only one other diner in restaurant , so should have had ample time to dedicate to my meals preparation. Starting with the salad , most of the vegetables were fresh enough. The spinach was not fresh. Since spinach was main ingredient, STRIKE ONE ! The pasta with my meal was not even luke warm. STRIKE TWO ! My Eggplant Parmesan... More

The menu was already suspicious, because pasta Alfredo was smong the dishes...and Italians know Alfredo sauce only travelling to the States, plus the ingredients posted under the dish list were far from the recipies . Then arrived bread and butter which no Italian would eat! Thd pizzas looked like aliens, the calzoni like panzarotti...snd my pollo alla cacciatora was served... More

We thought we'd never tire of mole, Aztec soup, gorditas, tamarind margaritas. But alas, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. So we ventured out to find good Italian food- and ole! We stumbled upon La Grotta. We were shown to a table by the window. The waiter was kind and professional. The pizza was... More

Pasta was cooked nicely, however the pizza dough was very heavy and undercooked. It sat like a lead weight in our stomachs and we didn't feel good afterwards. Very doughy. If they could make a lighter dough it would be much better. For good pizza try La Mesa Grande or La Bodega, both on Zacateros, both with wood ovens.

Small, authentic Italian restaurant in a street behind the Parroquia. Excellent pizzas. Take a table upstairs to avoid sitting side by side to street traffic.

My husband and I ate at La Grotta this past weekend. It's a tiny little place, very charming. Sit upstairs if you can. He ordered pesto and I had pasta with Bolognaise sauce. They were both terrific- very light and flavorful. I'd definitely recommend it.

A really wonderful restaurant, great menu with an extremely friendly staff that delivers quality dining experience that we really enjoyed. We had a group of six and everyone had a different dish, everything from pasta to steak. All dishes were excellent and enjoyed by all. The owners Daniel and Ester were amazing and so friendly, they even offer Tango lessons... More

My husband loves pasta so after reading the reviews we decided to give La Grotto a try. Upon arriving we had a short wait, and escorted to a table upstairs. I am not a pasta person, but I did find a shrimp dish This was a huge mistake. Over cooked small bay shrimp with peppers and mushrooms, absolutely no flavor.... More
