Environment was fine for a quiet dinner....however, the food was nothing special. I'm sorry they seem quite stingy with the provisions. A few nibbles of the antipasto was just that....nibbles.. The cheese provided was laughable...2 pieces of paper thin Parmesan...a few grilled veggies....one pickled white asparagus and a few other "small items".1400 pesos$ The Vietnamese spring roll at 950$pesos is... I have never had a bad or mediocre meal in Chamonix in the 17 years I have lived here! Ana Lilia, the chef and owner, is a gem, as are her staff. The food is beautifully prepared and presented---always! She has a wonderful variety, so always something for everyone. I don't know how she manages such a big menu in... More

Fabulous restaurant conveniently located one block off the main jardin. Delicious french flair menu, served with beautiful presentation......great flavors and perfectly cooked. Very nice courtyard dining area, but you can also choose the main inside dining room. Complete menu with something for everybody.

We dined at this beautiful and serene spot on 2 occasions during a recent trip to San Miguel. Everything was spot on. Attentive and charming service, lovely out door dining area, fresh food, perfectly prepared. The menu had a little something for everyone. Asian and French inspired cuisine with fresh and perfectly prepared local ingredients. Artisan cheeses with good wine... More

Chamonix (Sollano 17, San Miguel de Allenda (SMA), Gto. tel. 415-154-8363). The patio of this restaurant that bills itself as French is lovely and there was a little breeze. We thought the inside was well designed too. We ordered too much but everything was good. We started with the red snapper with stuffed mushroom (M$195). It was a very large... More

Again this restaurant is consistently good with their food. I love their soups and salads. The wine by the glass is limited but they have a good selection of bottles of wine. It is tastefully decorated and has a pretty little gift shop in front. If I have lunch and it is sunny the courtyard is perfect. Otherwise there is... More

Chamonix, Sollano 17. This is one of my favorite spots in San Miguel. There is a quaint shop in front specializing in all things french. There are 2 dining areas, one inside, one outside patio. There is no view from the dinging areas, but that's made up for by the charm of the decor. The outside patio is enclosed with... More
