Description: Chef Ana Lilia Galindo serves up a globe-spanning menu in Chamonix's cozy, hearth-warmed dining room. The specialty here is the aptly named Swiss fillet— medallions of beef wrapped in ham and cheese. But frequent fliers will also be pleased by traditional Mexican dishes like beef-stuffed poblano chiles, spicy Sri Lankan curry, Vietnamese spring rolls, and an array of fresh pastas. In fine weather, the pretty outdoor terrace is a lovely place to linger.

We ate dinner in the beautiful courtyard twice on our recent trip to San Miguel. On both occasions, the food and service were excellent, great pasta, interesting soups and a salads, wonderful chicken. The charming and relaxing atmosphere coupled with great food and service make this my favorite restaurant in San Miguel.

Oh, I love this restaurant! Wonderful menu...something for everyone. Among my favorites are the robalo, the lemon pasta and the roasted chicken. The staff is so nice...giving great service. What wonderful food to come out of such a little kitchen. I understand the chef is Spanish-trained. All her dishes I've ever tried are just wonderful. A lovely French feeling with... More

My wife and I took a one day trip (1 day? Come on!) to San Miguel and we arrived saturday at noon and went walking around the streets and then we realized we were hungry. Where to go? We asked some people at an art gallery and they told us about Chamonix. Looked it up at Trip adv, and decided... More

My husband and I just stumbled on to this restaurant. We had gone to another planned restaurant that was closed. We were pleasantly surprised with the quaint setting. We sat in the courtyard. We were promptly greeted. The waiter brought two large chalk boards with the menu and Specials of the day written in English and Spanish. The menu was... More

The food is prepared with such care. i have been going here since they opened both when i lived in SMA and on subsequent visits. It never disappoints. You have a choice of intimate courtyard or indoor dining. A touch of France in SMA, how nice!

The patio setting in this ancient building is romantic, charming, serene. The service is professional and courteous. This is one of my very favorite restaurants in San Miguel and I adore Ana Lilia, the chef who turns out consistently marvelous food at reasonable prices!

We found our favorite in SMA: it has been our third stay in 3 years and we love this charming place of a restaurant. This summer we had luck, we enjoyed twice in the patio although we very much also like it inside. The food is a fine Mediterranean choice - always fresh and surprising. We love the hand written... Environment was fine for a quiet dinner....however, the food was nothing special. I'm sorry they seem quite stingy with the provisions. A few nibbles of the antipasto was just that....nibbles.. The cheese provided was laughable...2 pieces of paper thin Parmesan...a few grilled veggies....one pickled white asparagus and a few other "small items".1400 pesos$ The Vietnamese spring roll at 950$pesos is... Lovely courtyard setting under umbrellas, with some indoor seating as well. Very charming and French. Blackboard menu with lots of options and specials each day....saw the little kitchen but it proves that size doesn't matter when it comes to cooking! Lovely change from Mexican cuisine while in San Miguel. I highly recommend it.
