This occasion was a gathering of language students for dinner. Maybe slow and inattentive service appeals to some folks, but seldom to me. All of us, including me, raved about the food, which arrived at significantly lengthy intervals. I'd have gone back because of the food, despite it being pricey, but what I call poor service I might tolerate to... More

Great place for a breakfast in front of a roaring fire. We ate here for breakfast and really enjoyed the eggs. My wife had the buffet with fresh fruit. I had eggs and they were great. We also ate dinner there and we definitely liked the atmosphere.

I've gone to Cafe Rama about 3-4 times over the years and it has always been excellent. However, for a restaurant in San Miguel, it has gotten pretty pricey. I went there this past June and had a really good salmon. The salmon was great, but they provided very little rice or vegetables -- not sure why they were chintzy... More

Excellent food, coffee and pastries. Tobbacco trouffles, chilaquiles verdes con pollo or a old classic hamburger. You can spend a whole day chatting, looking around and having a great drink. A must for art lovers.

Very nice hang. Lovely, quirky, comfy place to be. Chicken enchiladas were "meh". Red juice was healthy and good. And they had actual mineral water, not the fake canned stuff you get all over town. Even though the enchiladas didn't blow me down, I'd give it another try just 'cause it's cute!

We live in SMA part of the year and Cafe Rama is one of our favorites - eclectic menu, always fresh, delicious and beautifully plated. One of my favorite things are the before meal crudities - much better than bread (although they also offer bread, too). Wonderful assortment of pies and cakes - the pecan pie is just perfect. I... This is a great place for breakfast, if only a little pricey. The wait staff is bilingual, so no issues with that and there is wifi. Had a lovely Omelette florentine - they have a fruit/yogourt bar for breakfast. Hot chocolate is yummy. Nice place to stop & log on!

This is our fourth trip to San Miguel, the last trip being in 1997. Lots of changes. More restaurants, less Mexican flavors, more international. We have been here for two weeks eating at all the top ten restaurants and one after one.....over rated and disappointed except for Café Rama which is near where we are staying, but not in the... We wandered in on the way to see the Rosewood and the craft fair. AMAZING food, sister had chicken curry, me tortilla soup and both were the best meal we have had and we have had many in San Miguel. Lovely ambience, great coffee, good beer and the food to die for. We will go back again and again!

Cafe Rama is an interesting and eclectic restaurant. It had an addition added about 2 years ago (2012) which nearly tripled the number of tables/seats. The menu is also eclectic as are the beverage selections: teas, specialty soft drinks, waters, sodas and beers/wine. Sandwiches and hot meals, think breakfast and lunch. So I rate this about a 3.5 of 5...because... More
