Warrants the walk or taxi fare ...off the beaten path (which makes it special). Behind the cafe tables towards the back their is a private club called "Mint." Refer to pic's. Back to Petit: We started with a Mexican chocolate (the best in SM) very pure & just the right amount of sweet. Perfect! My husband had the Gringo decaf... More

This place is by far one of the best bakeries I have been to in the world. Croissants, breads, sweets, muffins, cappuccino and great coffee too. The hot chocolate was unbelievable! This is a must in SMA.

Best baked goods i've had outside of France! Small pastries that melt in your mouth. It's a must for those with a major sweet tooth!

I came by here twice, once to get a birthday cake and once to buy a treat for my daughter. Both times I left without buying anything because of the rudeness of the ladies at the counter! I am a plain old middle aged woman who speaks Spanish, I don't know why on earth the young women would bother being... More

At the recommendation of some media sites, I stopped by what turned out to be a minuscule bakery, in the afternoon, a Wednesday. The pastry case was not particularly full, quite a few brownies. On the left were some bakers working behind a glass wall. On the right what appeared to be a bar, two stools. There were maybe four... More

Europe has nothing on this San Miguel de Allende sweet-spot--el Petit Four. A few Parisian-style tables are available up front with a street view where you can sit, people watch, and savor your hot coffee or other drink that goes along with one of the wonderful Petit Four pastries. Yummmmmm. Always fresh. Always perfect. If you wish, order a cake... More

Amid all the wonderful places to eat in San Miguel sits a tiny El Petit Four which makes wonderful pastries at very reasonable prices. Watch the ladies make mouthwatering pasteries behind a glass wall! Either dine in or take a bag full of beautifully crafted pasteries back to your house/hotel. Not to be missed!
