Very convenient location and if you can score a table upstairs on the street side, the views are incredible. Not bad from the other side, either. Food is, well, OK. Not great, but consistent and reasonably priced for a super-Centro restaurant. Best feature are the cocktails, especially the margaritas. Tell them you want a "margarita muy seca," sit back and... If you are in town for any period of time, La Posadita should be on your list of restaurants to visit. The terrace is just a great setting for dinner. We came here due to the recommendations from the owner of our casa and our great guide, Helene Kahn (tours@helenekahn.com). They were spot on. The Tamarindo Margarita is "yummy". We... More

Lovely view, good service and completely average Mexican food. Pleasing table settings, good spacing of tables, not a bad place just overpriced and bland.

Why did it take us so long to visit La Posadita? Maybe because there are so many choices in San Miguel. But, this place is now at the top of our list, especially when friends visit. The rooftop dining area is nicely done and the views are awesome. Service was first rate. We had the Guacamole, Chile Rellenos, Green Chicken... More

My son and I stopped here on our way home from school. I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't eat a large variety of their menu but what we did order was very delicious. I had a tamarind margarita. If I ordered it again, I'd get it blended instead of on the rocks and it was delicious! Then we had some... More

So close to the Parroquia you can almost touch it from the rooftop restaurant. Order the guacamole and green chicken enchiladas...the best I've ever had. Service is attentive and fun.

It's hidden and most people walk by it on the street below and have no idea that up two flights of stairs is one of the most pleasant experiences one can have in San Miguel. The food is traditional Mexican.....nothing exciting....just good and tasty. Service is attentive and prices reasonable. But the view of the Parroquia church across the street... More

We went to La Posadita twice since we enjoyed it so much. The wait staff was very attentive and the food very enjoyable. We will definitely go there again.

I read about La Posadita in the NY Times and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was fun and a professional with his service. The rooftop is a great vantage point and at sunset, the soft lighting bouncing off the church and surrounding buildings is magical. We had a traditional lime chicken soup, fajitas, a chile rellano that was the... More
