Mama Mia, a can't miss night out during our 35 years of visiting San Miguel. They could do better on the pizza and I missed the old musicians with traditional instruments. Pizza was kind of cold. Musician just okay. Service spotty, tables crowded so not so comfortable. That said, we always go once a trip. So I hate for travelers... More

My son was in language school and their class went up and made pizzas. So, he wanted to go back for dinner. We did just that and got pizza. It was fine. Nothing special though. It'll do the job if you are just hungry and want some pizza. It certainly wasn't bad either. Just wasn't something that was mind blowing.... More

We really enjoyed our liesurely meal on the roof top. The view of the city, the breeze and the smells of the different dishes was wonderful We were there for Sunday Brunch and the buffet had local dishes, fruits and the local coffee all fresh and delicious. They made fresh quesadillas and were only to happy to have you as... More

I first visited Mama Mia's on a hot July afternoon in 1980 after I had trudged up a dusty, siesta-quiet Calle Canal from the station where I had gotten off the overnight train from Nuevo Laredo. It was cool and quiet and they served me a cold beer while I listened to flamenco from the speakers in the trees and... More

The food was terrible, I ordered pasta, Putanesca style and it was raw, UGH! not even close to be al dente. I have to asked twice to be well done cooked and still went wrong and we waited like 1 hour and a half for our meal. I don't know why many people think this is a must when you're... More

For fabulous food and entertainment, Mama Mia may be the best San Miguel has to offer! Weekends are packed; weekdays are perfect...always a lively crowd and an entertaining artist. We enjoyed the sounds of a wonderful classical guitarist, but entertainment varies nightly and is consistently great! The ambience is also festive and lively! Great food...typical of central Mexico. Great place... More

Food is good BUT the atmosphere is what I go for. Always great live music and fantastic crowd. They have the main room with small stage, the font bar for a different hang and upstairs under the stars on the terrace. We have always had good service English speaking employees and enjoyed ourselves. Quality time in San Miguel.
