We pulled into SMA around 5 pm...was really looking forward HARRY's for dinner. Walked up from the hotel and saw the name change to HANK's.....first warning. We were seated right away....ordered the only variety of oyster on the menu. ..needed to explain what we wanted to the waiter...had to point out oyster on the half shell to our waiter... oysters... Visited this restaurant during recent trip. had not been there for at least five years. Seems to have changed hands (for the worse). Sat at the bar (which was crowded). The bartender was very charming and service was prompt. We thought we were in "two-for-one" land but it only applied to my beer, I was told. When the bill arrived... More

The food when I went was wonderful....the french onion soup was perhaps the best I've ever had, and a spicy sausage pasta dish was over the top good. I'd be tempted to give it five stars, but the music -- too loud and totally inconsistent with such a nice restaurant -- put a damper on the evening.

Initial service pleasant and attentive, but delivery and quality of food hilariously bad. Nothing arrived in the right sequence, and when it did.... French Onion Soup stone cold (comment, "It was cold last time I ordered it too...") Pasta with soft shell crab warm, but a complete mush. Trout Almondine overcooked and dry. An order of Fried Oysters turned out... More

This is the place to go if you like it a bit loud, fun , and a good time. Always really busy, people always seems to have a great time. Went for lunch and I did enjoy it, onion soup was mediocre, sea food chowder was great, but the pork belly was magnificent!!! They made me want some More. Great... More

Went for dinner, hostess was very polite and showed us right to our table. Our waiter was very aloof and didn't seem to care if he waited on us or not. Drinks were great, happy hour until 8:00 p.m. and the food was good. Manager came and took care of us, I guess he noticed we were not being taken... More

Hanks is a great bar smack in the middle of San Miguel, just of the Jardin. Especially on the weekends it can be very busy around Happy Hour and it is a place where people meet their friends. The atmosphere is fantastic, large bar with a New Orleans atmosphere. Happy Hour starts at 5 ends at 8. The two for... More

My title says it all. There is nothing of any value to say about this restaurant. I lived in New Orleans for 5 years and this restaurant is an insult to Cajun cooking. There are so many other choices to eat in San Miguel...stay away from this bad food and awful service.

Well maybe not exactly like Brennan's but the eggs benedict were tasty and it was a very nice Sunday brunch in a nice setting near the main square in town. You will not be disappointed and we would return.
