Description: Hank's is the new name of the famous Harry's Restaurant with 12 years of history in Mexico, since 1999 in San Miguel Allende and since 2004 in Queretaro. Hank's is a bit of Louisiana and its "French Quarter", which offers the traditional Cajun cuisine from New Orleans. The atmosphere at Hank's is incomparable, you can enjoy a delicious dinner or spend a pleasant evening in the bar, drinking a margarita, a martini or a devastating hurricane while listening to jazz music.

Have been going there for happy hour, lunch and dinner since day they opened 12 years ago. I was born and raised in New Orleans and this restaurant has fantastic menu items from which to choose. Bob Theiman, owner, has Mardi Gras celebration every year. I was the very first Queen and 10 years later, was queen again. Party goes... More

The New Orleans style restaurant has a few nice items, including the ribs and the jambalaya. For the most part it is average.

My daughter and I had dinner there last night and came away with a decidedly mixed opinion. First, the positives: nice atmosphere, great music on the stereo - mostly American rock oldies - but not too loud, excellent service, excellent martini. Unfortunately, the food does not live up to the hype. The Cajun popcorn shrimp was bland and semi-soggy, certainly... More

Had the jambalaya for lunch..sauce could've been from a can, mostly rice, maybe 3shrimp,one part of clam, or oyster?, couldn't tell, and the WORST part was the tiny slivers of supposed to be andouille sausage... never will eat there again, it's a joke

Oysters Rockerfeller are definitely one of my favorite appetizers...and Hanks has the best!! I love the atmosphere here and it is definitely a place that I would return to... They call it an oyster bar for a reason...I would stick to the specialties that each restaurant is famous for and am sure their New Orleans fare would be worth a... More

The Barman Alonso was completely dishonest. Started offering a 2 x 1 promotion and offered a friend of mine a courtesy drink for her birthday, when the bill came he charged all drinks. I had to tell him to stop serving drinks as he was just bringing them without us asking and saying they were “from the house”. We order... More

Come for drinks pass the food up!!! I agree with the last few posters the food here is scary. The "arrachera" was so tough you need a chain saw to cut this piece of leather! Not good!! The rice was old & super dry...gross! The mgr. acknowledged the steak was tough & that the rice was not good. He had... More

Steak was tender however totally swimming in a sauce which left the meat tasteless. Ieberg blue cheese salad spoiled by some sort of vinegar. I felt seriously overpriced for what it was

Hank's is located right on one of the main roads and is very close to a 24-hour parking lot (20 pesos per hour, Insurgentes). We went there because it was packed and had a great atmosphere. It was very loud and lively inside. The entrees themselves were not edible and our bill was nearly 1000 pesos for two people with... More

We always have a meal at Hank's when visiting San Miguel de Allende. The menu is large and quite Americanized. We dined there with our party of 6. Four of us enjoyed the gumbo and fried shrimp. The gumbo was a bit over-salted, but otherwise tasty. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked. The portions were plentiful. We all enjoyed... More
