Good set menu

We went in for lunch, in a cute little patio decorated with ceramics and colourful pottery. The set menu had a number of delicious choices. I started with a green salad, and pineapple water., grilled fish with sautéed vegetables and a lovely dessert.

My friend and I went in for comida. I ordered one of the daily specials. The potatoes were mostly raw and I showed the waitress that I couldn't cut them. The waitress was sympathetic and asked if I would like anything else, so I ordered soup. My friend was finishing her meal, when suddenly, this large woman comes out of... More

I recently dined with a friend at Cafe de la Parroquia. My friend's meal had potatoes in it that were not fully cooked and hard int the middle. She sent it back, letting the waitress know that is was not fully cooked. The waitress asked my friend if she would like something else. My friend ordered bowl of soup. When... More

Sitting outside, drinking the excellent "lechero grande" is a "must" in Veracruz. Food is good as well - but we've been there for coffee.

Stand in line - it's really WORTH the wait! This restaurant has been here for many years. a tightly run operation by the American owner (she's all the way in the back - with an occasional smile) She has a wonderful, caring and helpful staff of professional servers, that make certain you have a perfect dining experience. Tables with linen... More

The black beans, chilaquiles, scrambled eggs with chorizo, the fresh fruit juice were a trip to childhood memories. It is a popular spot with locals so make sure you get there early and it can get loud. The owner is there supervising.

We ate at Cafe de la La Parroquia based on the many positive reviews as a great breakfast spot. While the patio was pleasant, the food was average and not very high quality. The oatmeal was more reminiscent of cream of wheat and the rest of the meal tasted like low-budget diner food. To make matters worse, the service was... More

This is a beautiful and charming patio where you can have the special menu, consisting on natural water (lime, hibiscus, etc), entree, main course, coffee and dessert for 125 pesos. The options to choose all are covering different tastes. You can notice how homemade is this, is authentic, and an interesting fusion with the person who cooks and the owner,... More

Food was OK. Place was crazy crowded for brunch and we felt like we weren't special guests...just sort of like cattle being herded. The service was lackluster because they were so crowded. There are just so many other less crowded and yummy places where the waitresses aren't running around with their heads cut off and have time to attend to... More
