Beautiful setting

Fun place. Good rolls with a green jam. Chili relleno good. Fountain with flowers very pretty. They don't take plastic so had to run to ATM kinda of a drag.

A forgettable meal in a delapidated structure. I had a vegetable omelet that was bland and apparently the parasites weren't washed off the veggies so I spent that evening vomiting the only thing I ate that day because I was too sick to eat or drink anything else! This restaurant should be shut down!

We had heard this cafe was great for breakfast. We went for a lunch and enjoyed a chicken and vegetable consommé and a Mediterranean salad to start out with. Before that they placed fresh pan francés with a delicious avocado and spicey green sauce. My husband selected spaghetti carbonara and I selected grilled steak with chilaquiles. We finished with delicious... More

Went for breakfast and it was really good. The place has a nice fountain and atmosphere. If you're looking for gringo and expat land then come here. Otherwise, don't. Recommended.

Good lunch food, but the main attraction of Café de la Parroquia is what happens around it. The main square in all small cities and towns in Mexico is where people congregate, and street action happens: people break dancing to collect some pesos, couples on huge disguise trying to attract tourist for a picture, the beauty of the central square... As I live in San Miguel, I frequent this restaurant, especially for breakfast. It has a nice courtyard for eating outside if the weather is good but also tables inside if you prefer. Really good coffee and food with excellent service. At night, a section becomes La Brasserie also with good food and sometimes live music. Give them a try.... More

Uninspiring decor and mediocre food were pleasant enough until surpassed by a large woman appearing shaking the bill at us demanding a tip. She was ranting something about being 25 years in business. We had thought that service had been included. In any event, I took my wallet out of my bag and handed the noise about 10%. In response,... More

We went in for lunch, in a cute little patio decorated with ceramics and colourful pottery. The set menu had a number of delicious choices. I started with a green salad, and pineapple water., grilled fish with sautéed vegetables and a lovely dessert.

My friend and I went in for comida. I ordered one of the daily specials. The potatoes were mostly raw and I showed the waitress that I couldn't cut them. The waitress was sympathetic and asked if I would like anything else, so I ordered soup. My friend was finishing her meal, when suddenly, this large woman comes out of... More

I recently dined with a friend at Cafe de la Parroquia. My friend's meal had potatoes in it that were not fully cooked and hard int the middle. She sent it back, letting the waitress know that is was not fully cooked. The waitress asked my friend if she would like something else. My friend ordered bowl of soup. When... More
