Someone suggested we try this restaurant as they are knows for their stuffed chiles. So glad they did! I ordered the stuffed Chiles en Nogada and I have to say it is one of the best dishes I've ever had in San Miguel de Allende. That says a lot from me as San Miguel has many great restaurants to choose... More

Seriously I knew ahead of time that this place had been celebrated for years by locals, but I was still so amazed by how delicious their chile relleno plates were. I went back on several occasions to try as many things on the menu as I could. The staff and owner of this place are all fantastic people. I believe... More

This place is one of those puzzles of San Miguel. Several times when we have been there we were the only customers. The service is friendly and many of the dishes are quite good. The prices are reasonable. It is attached to a hotel which also seems to be not very well patronized. It is next door to Tio Lucas... More

this restaurant is located inside what eppears to be a boutique hotel. It's old and small, with only a few tables but for the quality of the food, surprisingly a very quiet place. the Mexican food was excellent and all five of us shared bits so that everyone could have a taste. I had the five chiles pork, another had... More

I highly recommend it. Great mexican dishes, the enchiladas, pozole, chiles en nowadays and pacholas are to die for.

The signature dish, Chile Relleno Nogada, was, in a word, mediocre. The poblano chile was tough and under cooked and the filling was unremarkable. Worst was the margarita, clearly poured with commercial lime juice from a bottle. I've had better, pretty much everywhere. The ambience is banal courtyard. If not for this restaurants reputation I would have given it one star,... More

The salads were incredible at this restaurant along with Chiles en Nogada not to mention the courtyard setting. A great dining experience!

The original location and the second location both had such a nice feeling and atmosphere. For me, the new location has no charm, no warmth, so sadly I will not be going back. I assume the food is still good, but did not stay, so can't really say.

While in Mexico, we wanted to try authentic Mexican food. Our friends recommended this restaurant specifically to try the chile relanos. We all tried different variations that were offered on the menu and they were all delicious. For appetizers, the guacamole was fresh, the bean soup was perfect, the salsa spicy and yummy. The only thing we Americans didn't like... More

The food here was pretty good and they had some nice house specialties. We particularly liked the salads they prepared with interesting and fresh ingredients.
