Short and simple: Ambiance...... Excellent Service............Excellent Food................Excellent and then some ! While La Provedencia's menu is not pages long, what they do offer is what they do best and they prove it with ever morsel of food they serve. Once you dine there, you'll be hooked for life !!!

La Providenicia -Zipolite. I think this restaurant may just be my most favourite restaurant in the whole world. Putting the delicious food aside for one quick moment, the setting is just beautiful. Walk aprox 100 meters along a dark and dusty road just out of town, almost behind El Alquimista Hotel and you'll come across La Providencia Restaurant. It's a... More

This was the first and the best dinner during a short stay in Zipolite. A string of lights hung from the trees guides you down this dusty path in the jungle not on the beach. Music and candle light appear perched above you on the right. Only nine or so tables so a must to make a reservation. We saw... More

spending two months on nearby La Boquilla, we ate out several times, returning to our favorite Zolite "in-spot" La Provedencia several times, charmed by its decor, excellent service, original cuisine and personal owner attention...a winning combination! It's popularity now requires reservations in the improvisational beach atmosphere, but well worth it. We traveled there from Hotel Bahia de la Luna, 20... More

A friend recommended La Providencia and we made a reservation the night we arrived. We had excellent service and the food exceeded expectations. After more than 10 days of eating dinner at restaurants from Mazunte to Puerto Angel we decided there was no restaurant better than La Providencia for our last meal. We were impressed again!

You may wonder what you've gotten yourself into as you navigate the small dirt roads to this restaurant. But once you arrive there is no doubt that you made the right choice. From Javier's impeccable decor and service, to chef Paco's fabulous food and presentation, you will soon know that you are in a very special spot. Just be sure... More

La Providencia cannot be compared with any other restaurant in Zipolite or even in the province. There is simply nothing else on a level in most large cities, let alone a quiet, out of the way village like Zipolite. (And there are many fine restaurants in this little out of the way village!)The food is divine in it's preparation and... More

Nothing compares in this part of Mexico. Excellent service and delicious appetizers and entrees. Hands down best margarita in the world (be careful, very strong). Wonderful job of general hosting by Javier. Visually interesting art, decor, setting, and ambiance. Just a great dining experience. What else can I say...oh, what an incredible value!

Really is a very fancy restaurant and the food is very good. One of the few places that will take a credit card.
