Absolutely the most enchanting evening from the minute we arrived.. The atmosphere, warm welcome, beautiful relaxing setting and the best service ever. The food...not only absolutely delicious but also an absolute piece of art on a plate. The coconut shrimp, wonderful! Don't miss La Providencia if you travel to Zipolite...Bravo!!!!

We visited this restaurant three times whilst in zipolite as we did not want to leave any mystery in regards to the menu. There was so much I wanted to try that we simply had to keep coming back. It was not too busy on our visits but the atmosphere was nice all the same. I think the place is... More

We met the owner, Javier, by chance at the local breakfast place. We had a delightful time with him and learned that that same night was their last night for the season. So we asked him if we could go that evening. And it was really the best meal we had in Zipolite! The restaurant is gorgeous without ostentation of... More

great menu, great fresh food and menu ideas I had a nice yellowfin tuna w/ a three-chile chutney plate and my friends' food was excellent as well. I remember the cold beet soup being great as well.

The place has a very unique vibe. Every dish served has its own special combination of flavors. Don´t forget to ask for their suggestion. Depending on the season, you can get the best fresh catch of the day. I totally recommend this restaurant. They only serve dinner.

When we visited La Providencia in 2012 we thought it was perfect, but the new location is even better. If you are anywhere in the area you simply can't miss this restaurant. Everything about it is perfect.

La Providencia is as good as ever after its recent move to a new location near the Hotel El Alquimista. Javi is the same gracious and attentive host, Paco is the same spendid chef, and the restaurant's open-air ambiance and charm are unaffected. It's still the best place to eat in or around Zipolite!

The menu has a good range of offerings, and everything we tried (6 diners over 2 nights, so 10 different entrees) was outstanding - not one disappointment. Our host Raphael was personable and friendly, and made us feel most welcome. Thanks so much!

All aspects of our dinner were perfectly executed. We began with well-crafted cocktails in the small sitting area as you enter the restaurant. We placed our meal orders there and relaxed in the delightful ambiance. We eventually moved to a table on a slightly different level once the courses were ready. I had a cucumber curry soup which a was... More

La Providencia moved since the last time I was there. That was three years ago. The ambiance is even better then it was. The food is simply great. As far as I am concerned, it's a cuisine equal to some of the best chefs in Montreal. It's by far my favourite restaurant in Zipolite and not too steeply priced either.
