Visited on the last leg of our canal boat holiday on the Kennet and Avon canal. This relatively quiet village pub is a hidden gem in a little village off the canal. Very good food and local ale, dog friendly and pub games to play while you are visiting. Would well recommend as a visit or to spend an evening... More

Having stayed overnight in one of the guest bedrooms in the Summer and tasted the delicious breakfasts, we decided to take two friends for Sunday lunch at this lovely Country family run pub which is also dog friendly. We were made to feel most welcome from the start and sat down to enjoy a delicious lunch with most generous portions... More

Found this pub for lunch tucked away down a country lane and am so glad I did. The sausage sandwich was great value with a healthy salad and the best chips I'd tasted in a long while, all for £5. Check out the condiments and live parrot. A hidden gem.

Called her for dinner on a recent canal holiday. We wanted to find good local pubs with local atmosphere and this one certainly ticked all the boxes. The service was good and the food excellent. Portions were huge and I had one of the best mixed grills I have ever had. Ended the evening playing football with their dog in... More

I am going to review the pub then the campsite connected to it. The pub is made up of a snug, a lounge bar and a restaurant area and it serves the usual Wadworth selection of beers. there was two of us eating, from the specials board I chose a wild boar and chorizo burger, which was well cooked and... We stumbled upon this restaurant/pub when we were looking for a place to have lunch. We arrived on a Thursday at 2:15 p.m. and the Barman was extremely accommodating to make sure we had a good lunch. And it was! We would highly recommend this place for its food, service and for its atmosphere...

Spent a night at The Golden Swan after a fantastic day of cycling along The Kennet and Avon Canal and wasn't dissapointed.Set in a sleepy village a few hundred yards from the canal The Golden Swan is full of old country charm from a bygone age.The Landlord Dave and his wife are warm and welcoming, couple that with generous sized... It's a step back in time here but not purporting to be anything else. The village pub, no airs and graces, inclined to be a bit of a muddle in certain areas but nowt wrong with it if you are after cheap and cheerful.
