We visted this pub/restaurant recently and found it very dissapointing. It seems the place has been let go and one would question has it been through a lack of interest. fridges are empty, lights in the bar display have failed and have been since our previous visit. Staff were helping themselves to drinks, and even eating a meal at a... More

Found this pub whilst traveling along the kennet and avon canal. Tha staff couldnt have been more welcoming and accommodating. We arrived as a party of eight adults plus dog who was also welcomed with lots of fussing over him. Prepared to sit at two tables but the young ladies wouldnt hear of it and proceeded to rearrange furniture into... More

went there one night whilst on a canal boat along the Kennett and Avon Canal. We have always had a warm reception on our previous 2 visits and good valued food. This trip was no exception although my wife and I did feel the place was looking a little tired. The young lady behind the bar who was also our... More

Called in here for Sunday lunch with some friends. The Sunday roast that arrived was dreadful, meat curled at the edges sat in a watery gravy.Vegetables looked as though they had been cut up by a two year old...miserable manager sat at bar. Won't be returning...worst Sunday lunch ever

We found The French Horn as we were exploring the area and were very pleased that we did. There is an extensive menu (though it would be good to have copies on the tables rather than expect guests to stand by the board reading through the very large choice!) with many gluten free items. The portions were generous and the... More

We've eaten here twice now since moving to the area and the first time was on Christmas Day, which was superb. Had Sunday lunch here last week which was great - nice roast with all the trimmings in a relaxed atmosphere. The team go to great lengths to make sure everything's just as it should be - nothing formal just... More
