I visited this restaurant 15 years ago and recall a very nice meal with a rather limited range of digestifs. The latter had improved though the staff still didn't know what to do with them. The food though was superb - I had the menu de decouverte (which is more expensive; the menu du marche is cheaper). This was a... More

I've been twice in this 2 stars restaurant, and always satisfied. Innovative, excellent food from the market, good service. In comparison with Bras, 3 stars, not very far (in Aveyron), I recommend without hesitation "Le puits St-Jacques". This restaurant got the level of a 3 stars. It is my prefered restaurant in Toulouse area!

This was the second time I had eaten at this restaurant, the first time being pleasant. This time we were served flat Champagne, with little apology, we were not offered the Menu du Marche, and the food was totally unmemorable. Even the petit fours were boring. The staff seemed disinterested in us, we had to go and find sugar for... More

Clearly my favorite place so I am a bit reluctant to advertise it too explicitly... Went there twice this Summer for the lunch market menu, which in each occasion was completely different, yet incredibly creative and tasty especially considering the price. Service is what you expect in a starred restaurant, outstanding wine selection and recommendations including by the glass.

Last time we ate at the Puits St Jacques it had slipped badly but today we had one of our best ever meals there. The food was superlative and the service impeccable. Superb ingredients throughout, cocktails made using best ingredients also, no corner cutting. Everyone who eats here will know they have had the best at a very reasonable price.

We found this restaurant purely by chance. Whilst working in Toulouse, I was renting a house in the L’Isle Jourdain some 30 km’s west of Toulouse and on one occasion on the way home happened to notice the Sat Nav in my hire car showed a restaurant in a small village in the middle of nowhere, Pujaudran. I diverted to... More

We visit many restaurants all around the world, but we have been going regularly to this restaurant near Toulouse for about 13 years since 1999. It is, and always has been, outstanding. Bernard Bach and his team's cooking is exquisite. We have never had an unsatisfactory meal or service. The Maitre d'Hotel, Patrick, must be one of the best anywhere... More

We still remember the watermelon carpaccio and edible 'stones' from Mugaritz. The incredible poached egg at Arzak's. But on the other hand we have to admit that such restaurants are more of a laboratory, too much a show and not enough just a very good restaurant. Especially as we like to not only to enjoy the dishes, but to study... More

I have been to my fair share of Michelin starred restaurants, but the Puits Saint Jacques easily ranks in my top three. No point going into the detail of the food served there, as the menu changes regularly. Suffice it to say every dish was dreamy and served in exactly the right sizes. I keep a particularly fond memory of... More

This was our first visit, an hour's drive away from where we live, so we saved it for a special occasion (our son treating us!). The restaurant is the ground floor of an old French house, prettily decorated in neutral earthy colours, terracotta and oak tiled floors, framed dried flowers on the walls. We were given a formal but friendly... More
