Best place to eat in Tulum

If you do one thing in Tulum, eat here! The smell of the chicken will lure you in despite the shabby exterior. For 130 pesos (10 bucks, £6) you get a whole chicken, tortillas, salsa, rice and salad. An incredible feast - more than enough for 2! Such amazing value for such fantastic, freshly cooked... read more

This was our first meal in Tulum. The person who recommended it said this was the best roasted chicken in Mexico. I could believe it. Certainly the best I've ever had. Friendly counter service.

When we didn't know what to eat we went here. Simple chicken grilled with rice, tasty, cheap and comes fast. Wrapped potatoes are very delicious. The best value in more and more overpriced Tulum.

I had been telling my boyfriend about this chicken since the last time I visited Tulum so we had to stop in. You can find this place due to the amazing smell of roasting chicken when you walk by. You can either eat at plastic tables or get take out. We had a half chicken with rice, salsa, tortillas and... More

This place is our all time favorite for taking dinner out. The chicken and that's pretty much all there is , is great and a wonderful value all the way around. Never a disappointment except when they're closed. Everything is made fresh that day and when there is no more chicken they close. Go there no later than 6:30pm if... More

I highly recommend this place! It's a must to try the chicken. It is super juicy and cooked fresh every morning. You can smell it in the entire town. I have a hard time not eating here every day b/c it's so delicious and totally reasonable. The restaurant is no frills or fancy...but delivers great food.

My girlfriend and I spent 3 days in Tulum on our backpacking trip. We quickly realized that cheap food is not very easy to come by in the town. Luckily we found Pollo Bronco. The food was so delicious and a meal only cost a couple of dollars. The service was friendly, and kept us coming back every single day... More

If you are looking for a great dinner to go then don't miss out on this one. We took dinners back to our hotel twice the chicken was so good! Best rice we had in Tulum. Sometimes the smallest of places are always the best.

I ordered the 1/4 chicken that came with rice, coleslaw, and a couple sauces. Between the chicken and all the sides, nothing was lacking in flavor. For 45 pesos this meal was a great value and I'd definitely come back if I could.

While the ambience may be lacking (plastic furniture, roadside) the food is certainly not. When you get sick of paying beach front dining prices, head into town to Pollo Bronco not far from the road to Coba and bus station. Here a meal for two costs around $10.00 includes rice, tortillas and slaw. Truly authentic, local dining location with take... More
