Another great find on TripAdvisor! The food was great! Everyone in our party very much enjoyed their dinner. However, they do not have any menus in English. Lucky for us, my husband is fluent in Spanish. Also be warned, they do not take credit cards and they do not have A/C. Since it was hot outside, I decided to try... More

On our last night in Tulum we decided to dine here for dinner. It's off the main street so gets less foot traffic so we decided to eat outside. We ordered the usual cocktails and then dinner. We always try to eat as local as we can and we ordered what we thought were traditional Mexican dishes. The serves were... More

We were looking for a restaurant serving both Mexican and Fish dishes, this came recommended. The shrimp in garlic butter was fantastic, as was the octopus. The service was polite and friendly. Prices were very reasonable, would recommend. Don't expect English food or menu although the staff we had spoke good English

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our condo manager when we asked for Mexican cuisine. Food quality and presentation very good, the grilled octopus I had was the best of the 4 meals we sampled during our stay. Overall, ambiance is good, on a smaller side street from the main stretch, so quieter. The wait staff was very... More

The food is great! Really delicious mexican food and the waiters are really friendly. They do some origami and offer you a free tequila after your dinner. Ate here twice during our stay in tulum, the fish fillet is perfect!

Excellent traditional Mexican food, which us not easy to find in Tulum compared to other Mexican cities. Great food!

We went back the day after, because we liked it so much. Try the ceviche! And it's not even very expensive. Very nice staff! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place on our first morning in Tulum, when we were really hungry. We ended up ordering two servings of La Touristica, which ended up being an amazing, huge breakfast platter. The service was friendly and we were overjoyed to have such a delicious Mexican breakfast- omelet, corn tortillas, beans, rice, salsas, fresh fruit... More

Came here after reading the reviews and have to agree that La Malquerida deserves its top rating. Armando, our waiter, made us feel very welcome. Before we left, he made a napkin flower and even offered shots of tequila on the house! We both had seafood and micheladas for under 300 pesos. It is cash only, but USD is accepted.... More

La Malquerida is great. The food is authentic Mexican food, and the service is awesome! Armando, our waiter each time we've eaten here on our last two trips to Tulum, is so nice! Menu is great and the quality is some of the best I've seen in the locals-type restaurants in Tulum. We will definitely eat at La Malquerida every... More
