Bit dark, but has FANTASTIC shrimp ceviche

This certainly is a quirky spot… It's dark. So dark I was afraid to trip over something, and was left worrying did I apply enough bug spray… BUT! Of the 14 days we spent in Tulum, Casa Jaguar had THE most INCREDIBLE shrimp ceviche. You've gotta try it.

Love the ambiance. Dark and mysterious - and the scent of burning Copal to counter the inevitabvle mosquitos is intoxicating. The food is amazing - seafood lovers will be in heaven.

This restaurant was the dining disappointment of our Tulum visit. $500 pesos for an entree in and of itself was not the issue. But, when I spend >$30 for my entree, I expect more than was delivered. Whole fish with oranges, rosemary, and spices sounded great but did not measure up at all. Very little flavor transmitted to the fish.... More

Really enjoyed this place for some evening cocktails. Great feel to the restaurant as well. The setting is romantic, yet casual beach feel.

Stayed 5 nights in Tulum. My husband and I swore that we wouldn't hit the same restaurant twice. However, Casa Jaguar was a total exception. The ambiance was on point and the overall feel was so romantic. The bartender who served us (forgot his name but he showed us pictures of his adorable baby and beautiful wife!) was incredibly welcoming.... More

We had a great meal. Food was excellent. But, it was so dark where we were sitting that when we were given the bill, we were not told tip was added, gave a 20% tip and only figured it out once we could see it and translate the word that we gave double tip. The worst part about it is... More

Food is delicious, you have various options with fish, you also find several types of house made cocktails which are really good, speccially the one with passion fruit. It is a Little bit expensive so you gotta take cash (well, its an only cash restaurant, as most as the restaurants in Tulum). We were a party of 8, and they... More

So good. So, so good. I didn't get seats at the famous Hartwood, so I decided to give Casa Jaguar a try. I am so glad that I did. In my opinion, the food was better and the vibe was 10x better. This is right next to Gitano/Hartwood, but has a treehouse/garden/secret jungle vibe. Service was incredible and the food... More

Plan to spend $$$. The food was good, I expected more from the steak. The standout dish by far is the tuna tostada appetizer. Everyone in my group talked about it our entire trip! It was perfectly tender with giant portions of tuna. Restaurant could use more candles. I commented to our waitress that our food looked beautiful, but it... More

Everytime i step into Casa Jaguar is just magical. First time was a year ago, wanted a party and got it. This time the same but even better. People there are just great. They have an amazing crew with amazing drinks! If you're lucky you might get the special recipe from the bartenders. In the late night, CJ is a... More
