Cold Beer, Fresh seafood

Ordered a Scallop Aguachile, and a big Clamato Chela to deal with a mild hangover. Both where quickly delivered to me, the scallops where fresh an delicious. And they kept bringing me tostadas as soon as i ran out.

Dined here for a late lunch last week. We had two great mezcal margaritas, and then split a bunch of food. We tried: tuna tostadas sashimi style, aguachiles tostada, shrimp ceviche tostada, shrimp cilantro taco and a shrimp, black bean and cheese taco. Yes. We love shrimp. The first thing we tried was the tuna. I would say this was... More

This is a great restaurant in Tulum´s main road just before leaving town. Fantastic and very tasty Mexican food. A good crowd of locals eat at this place. I recommend the figurines and tacos of any sort you like and the arroz Hugo. It´s a better to go for lunch as they close rather early at about 7:30pm.

I tried their shrimp tacos and their mechaladas. Both are very good but I think shrimp was not fresh, actually needs fresher ingredients

This place was awesome. The food was all delicious, reasonably priced and got to the table pretty quick. My husband and I both ordered a few different tacos- shrimp, fish, tuna- all really good. I had a pina colada- which was very good and my husband had a few nice and cold beers. We would have gone back if the... More

Some of the best food I had in Mexico - the tuna tostada was amazing (I seriously considered just having it for lunch every day in Tulum) - and the fish and shrimp tacos were fresh and bright and the sauces and salsas were delicious. And the cucumber and mezcal cocktail can be recommended, so good!

I love this place! My family just spent another 2 weeks in Tulum over the holidays... despite my growing concerns about what Tulum is becoming: overcrowded, expensive and less family friendly. But the crowds, traffic and tourist density has also brought some innovation the once sleepy village (now a town) of Tulum. Odd but true, it is becoming increasingly hard... More

No tacos 2nd day in a row... yesterday no tortillas, then no items to prepare tacos. Today the guy who did the tacos resigned ?!?!

Been there in several occasions, final la got the idea. The restaurant is a copy of a beer mexican cantina from the 1950's. Even the flor ti les are an excellent reproduction. Do not befooled by the style is all a well done reproduction. About the food: the freshest and most creative assorted collection of fantastic fresh fish and shellfish... More

We live nearby,so we come to Aquachiles regularly, and it's one of the best meals in Tulum. We've enjoyed the oysters, the rice and shrimp bowl, and aquachiles (a sort of large ceviche without much limejuice), but we keep coming back for the figurines. These tortilla-free 'tacos on a lettuce leaf' combine so many flavors so nicely, with all the... More
