During our two weeks in Tulum we visited Sale e Pepe on two different occasions both later in the evening about 8:30. The first visit was good. A local family was sitting near by and recommended the ravioli which we ordered. The mushroom ravioli and the ravioli in a rose sauce were wonderful. The service was prompt and courteous. Only... My partner have eaten here twice while we have been in Tulum! Best pizza we have ever eaten... True authentic Italian and much cheaper than PIOLA! Highly recommend coming here! The service is extremely friendly!

I like Italian food and visited 2 Italian restaurants in Tulum while on Vacations but not one worth it, specially at Sale e Pepe where the owner, the waitress and probably everyone else working in this place is Italian. They only like Italian people because smiles and good service are "reserved" for them. It seems that anyone else (including Mexicans)... More

Can't go wrong here! Great pizza and salads,at reasonable prices. House wine was a bit too sweet but drinkable. Kids loved the pizzas.

We tried this place because of its reviews however the service was very slow and not attentive and when our food arrived the pasta was undercooked. They need to make sure they have enough staff on to deal with demand and ensure all dishes are prepared to the same standard.

After almost two weeks in Tulum, the boyfriend and I finally decided we needed a break from Mexican food. Sale e Pepe is down the road from our villa, so we stopped in about 5 o'clock on a Friday. Service was initially a little slow even though there were only two other tables - it quickly became apparent that this... More

Dined her for dinner one night and enjoyed both good food and wine. Really tasty pasta dishes - one cream veggie one and also one meat one. We sat on the outside terrace which is shaded slightly from the main road. Recommend this restaurant - especially if you've had enough Mexican food - light and delicious. The owners made us... More

This is our first visit. The staff gave us a friendly welcome. Drinks came out fast. My husbands shrimp risotto was so so good! Mine not so much. I got the gorgonzola risotto. It was undercooked, not much flavor. Had to really put a lot of salt on it. The kids got the creamy fettuccine and it was really good.... More

We honestly thought this place would be better than it was considering the reviews, but it was still good. We had lasagna and spaghetti carbonera. The dishes were large and filling. The pasta was cooked well, maybe a bit overcooked. The lasagna had plenty of sauce. The carbonera could have been a bit creamier. The bread with the appetizer (prosciutto... More
