Needed pasta fix!

Great Italian food and nice atmosphere. A little pricy. Had mushroom ravioli in a creamy cheese sauce -- excellent! Good espresso.

This place was right around the corner from where we were staying. I would normally eat local food but after 4 weeks you need something different. Bread with olive oil to start, yum, its the little things you miss. The home made pasta was superb, not everything from the menu was available, but what we had was very good. One... More

Stopped in after a day fishing. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming staff. Calamari was very tasty but not much of a portion. There were three of us and we each ordered a different pizza. The pizza was ok. Very little sauce and a very crispy - cracker like crust. We're from the East Coast and used to more substantial... More

We walked past this place and it was always busy and the restaurant looked nice, the decoration welcoming. However we were not satisfied with our dining experience. There was no free appetiser to start the meal, which is the first time we've experienced this in mexico. The food was ok but there was not much of it. It would have... More

Sale e Pepe is a wonderful little place to enjoy real Italian food. Located on the Tulum road at the Coba turnoff, it has a lovely outdoor terrace or you can eat inside. The wait staff are terrific and very knowledgeable about all of the menu items. I had gnocchi in clam and mussel sauce that was to die for!... More

we were tired of mexican food and wanted to change. This place is amazing. Food is great and authentic. We had pasta alla gricia, pizza and insalata gorgonzola e noci. Everything was delicious. Wine was also really good and there's a selection of italian bottles as well. The atmosphere is great, the owners made as feel like home and made... More

I am from Italy but have been living abroad for more than 10 years. I usually avoid having Italian food outside of Italy, because it usually is never as good as home. But I went to Sale e Pepe while on vacation in Tulum, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza! If you are in the... More

We went here for dinner on valentines, as my wife was craving spaghetti. tasty food at reasonable prices. Horchata made with syrup and not really stirred properly but that is my only complaint. Very good chips ( fries ) and lovely spaghetti a la ponzese, I woild definitely recommend
