Really great dive of a place (feels like someone's open-air garage) with good service and a huge grill that will tantalize the senses with the sizzle of meats and vegetables. I've forgotten the menu already but perhaps my hopeful helpful advice is to explore the grilled vegetables. I remember, for example, ordering a few onions, which were so sweet and... More

If you order anything, order the arrachera. This is a serious meat for serious meat eaters. Prices aren't bad either.

Hey folks, I dined twice in this side street restaurant, and I really had high quality food, I loved it. El Asadero is located in a side street of the main avenida (in walking distance), to me it looked liked a former car garage (big entrance gate - you can sit inside or on the street). The interior is really... More

As you enter Tulum Pueblo from the north, take a right at the second light onto Satellite Norte and do a U-Turn at about the third street. On your right find the diamond-shaped yellow street sign that has a bull on it, and below it the name El Asadero. Don't look for the sign on the unpretentious building, it is... More

The service was way above par for Mexico and the food was great! Get the house specialty, the Arrachera...it is delish!

El Asadero is located on the side street off the main street in pueblo. You're driving thinking there wouldn't be any more restaurants around, and then you will hit by the delish-meat-being-grilled scent to guide you to this little restaurant. The arrachera dinner plate came with grilled cactus & some other veggies for $190 pesos. It was tender & seasoned... More

We went here on our last night in Tulum and saved one of the best for last for sure! It's mainly a steak restaurant but they have plenty of vegetarian dishes and local seafood specialties as well. My boyfriend is a meat eater and I'm a vegatarian and we both thought the food was amazing! We ordered way too much... More

All I can say is Wow! After a week eating seafood, we needed a bit of meat and found this restaurant located a couple of blocks away from Tulum's main avenue. the arrachera steak is excellent, one of the best steak I have ever eaten. We opted for the specialty plate which is a great option. It's not expensive. The... More

We had a terrific meal here – simple, but packed with flavour. The place is small and low-key, with plastic garden chairs and an open grill, but the food tastes much better than the place looks! We had the speciality plate for, I think, 180MXN – steak (I think 300g), a grilled whole onion or jacket potato, a Spanish or... More

We dined at El Asadero 3x in 14 nights - it was so good. Arrachero tacos with drink for 90 pesos! and they were delicious every visit. Friendly, prompt service. Love this place!
